Try to find an example where I wasn't arguing alone, usually dealing with people exactly like you, who can be found on practically every forum on the internet (i.e., people who don't actually argue, but rather, throw paper cups from the sidelines). Excellent argument, using ad hominem attacks against others when you purport to dislike others supposedly using them against you. Yes, supposedly using them against you, since looking back at the threads you've posted, forum members have nicely asked you to look at your abrasive posts, yet you attack/dismiss them instead of having actual conversation/civil argumentation. Again, I say excellent use of argumentation skills you have there - reminds me of high school & college LD/CX debates where the opponents have a preconceived notion and try their best to negate the other side so the can "win" without conceding anything to the opposition. Sad to say, it seems to me nobody is winning here, only losing, since instead of having constructive criticism/sound arguments, there's just a blanket of negativity surrounding your posts.

I'm getting the same vibe - seems fishy to me that 2 people show up on the same day and have the same views regarding "logic", argumentation, etc, and are totally dismissive of the same person(s) just like the other one. Might be they either have extremely similar personalities/views, or more plausible, one person with at least 2 separate accounts.

It seems you have a skewed idea of what constitutes real discourse/argumentation/debate. Simply negating others with your attempted use of "logic" doesn't make your argument stronger, rather, it's very off-putting. You talk about others using logical falacies, yet you yourself commit the same if not more egregious forms of the fallacies by outright dismissing people without even considering your premise is false. Is this civil debate? Not really. Again, just soundslike someone who has a working vocabulary but nothing substative to argue - circular false logic at best. So far in your threads, you've stated a premise, you've use anecdotal evidence (which is spurious at best - no real apllication, just academic), then when someone cross examines your argument (which is lacking in it's data and warrant as seen throughout your posts), you dismiss them as being childish and irrelevant. Great going.

dude... you need to chill out. Dismissing people on the board who have time and again shown their talents just isn't a cool move on your part. You may have differing views about certain issues you've raised, but attacking others isn't the way do go about any real constructive argument. I'll just leave it at that.

Training using compliant drills is necessary at earlier stages of martial arts development. Once the person is versed in the techniques, he/she can start free form sparring/randori. The skills learned in paired compliant drills allows one to gain insight about what to do in certain situations. On a related note, what happens when a skilled opponent meets up with an unskilled (yet potentially larger) opponent? Check this vid out

Voltan, did you notice that Richard Moll (Bull from Night Court) was the evil sorcerer Xusia in the movie? LOL.

I grew up around cars at my grandfather's auto shop. I've had a few nice cars, including a '78 Datsun 280Z (straight 6), an '88 Camaro 305 stick shift, and a '51 Ford Deluxe 2dr coupe with a rebuilt V8 w/2 single barrel carbs I did myself. The Ford's the only one I still have, been sitting in my garage for over 15 years. Don't know when I'll get around to actually finishing it.

I wouldnt call them battle-ready at all. The reviews i read here on SBG of the Sting and the Glamdring, especially of the Glamdring, didnt look too nice and revealed a highly suspicious hilt assembly. Full tang, yes, but somewhat hollow grips with screw setups similar to the Windlass Conans if i remember correctly. Check the review index. Actually, the Museum Collection Glamdring and Sting swords are full tang, while the Samwise Hero Sword is a rat tail construction. I own a MC Glamdring, and I don't think I'd ever use it for actual cutting. It has NO distal taper, plus like mentioned before, has a metal grip/pommel that I don't trust. At some point, I'd like to redo the grip, but don't know when that'll happen.

Adrian, thanks for linking me in the above post. Chaser45, I don't have any Raptors at the moment. Like stated above, most places have them backordered, and the new ones won't arrive until the next batch comes in from China. BPogue (another member here) is an authorized CAS Iberia rep... he might have a timetable for when the next batch should arrive.

IMHO, KOA probably still has many of these models in stock, and once they're depleted, they'll either sell new stock at higher prices or stop selling them altogether. As for my online store, I've already removed all of the Windlass models since I'm sold out on them and won't be restocking them due to the new pricing rules - moving on to other companies at or above MRL/Windlass performance and pricing.

MRL may be looking at eliminating their dealers and only selling direct. You figure if they sell a sword for $300 and sell it to a dealer like KOA for $150 then KOA sells it to you for $250 you're not going to buy it from MRL. So MRL get a $150 sale instead of a $300 sale. In this bad economy a lot of companies are down scaling in order to put more money in their pockets. Believe me, it's not that low of a wholsesale price to begin with. The only way to make a decent profit would have been ordering several thousands of $'s worth of products, thereby reducing shipping costs to the reseller overall.

It seems this was a bootleg short to see "what if"... will it become an actual movie? Most probably not. You can read more about it on the CNet link

Sorry guys. Didn't think I'd ever say it, but that Power Ranger video is a bit too hardcore, hahaha. Pervasive bad language that goes beyond the allowed limits of the rules. -Adrian Jordan.

At least this time the story has a good ending to it, unlike most others when the sword wielding person is either in trouble, maimed, or killed.
