I would arrest the owner of that thing purely for bad taste...

How would you safely hold that thing?
With tongs while wearing a hazmat suit?

How would you safely hold that thing? With tongs while wearing a hazmat suit? I think it's actually a weird-looking mace - you grab the bar in the middle of the hexagon thingie and paddle the opposition with the flat of the "blade".

Except look at the ruler, you could not get a full hand grip on that, You would only be able to pinch it with your fingers that way

If you look at the pic, there seems to be a clip ring on the end of the "knife" That must be where you grab with the tweezers. OK a little more serious, that sort of make me think this is a pendent, not a knife at all. The body of the "knife" looks pretty thick, and the angle of the edge seems pretty steep. I am thinking it is not even actually sharp enough to cut with. *edit to add Since actually being a little serious I decided to try doing a little search on these. It is an "axe" from the League of Legends. And the TSA took away a pendent. The "handle" is that bar inside the ring. These are scaled down from "real" size.

Reminds me of a Celtic-themed sword pendant necklace I used to have. Lousy soft pewter, bent if you looked at it wrong. I forget where I was going, but the guy running security wouldn't let it in. Then again, at a concert years later I got stopped for wearing a pocket watch. Apparently the chain was classified as a restricted weapon. Years later, still, some friends and I made a trip to Kings Dominion (a pretty big theme park for those who don't know it) and I had to turn over a keychain multitool (it had a one-inch, utterly blunt "knife blade") but nobody batted an eye at my Gerber Artefact. ( www.gerber-tools.com/Gerber-Artifact-22-01770.htm ) Security. Just remember, kids, it's for YOUR safety.

I honestly thought that was too obvious to even mention. It's not so much a "blade" as a "novelty keychain with some sharp corners".
