After Rogue One I think the "out of line" films are much better! i liked the mainstream continuation, the force awakens, it followed a pretty similar formula to pass movies but it was good imo, i did not really like the last jedi's plot holes but the visuals still kept me entertained

Gunnar, you are talking straight from their paylist; i am convinced of that by now. I still hope you will learn someday; not through some of their crap breaking and hurting you, but through reason. I for my part will stay away for a while, and hang around on Myarmoury a bit... i am fed up to the gills discussing that DSA crap, so see yourself as a winner, if you like. A lot of sword snobs on Myarmoury, true, but at least they know the place where DSA belongs. See you all around. Holg why is it that just because I don't agree with you I'm on the take, being paid off, a spy for DSA ? Like I keep saying I base my opinion of DSA on MY experience dealing with them. My first DSA sword was bought from the SBG Store back when they first started selling them. Yes back then their swords were heavy and nothing special but for the price with a FREE dagger included I thought it was a pretty good deal. Then I bought their Braveheart sword from KOA and it was a definite improvement over the first one. Then I bought the Eindride direct from DSA and was totally amazed by the beauty of the sword. And yes it is still my favorite sword. Then I bought their Viking FEMA sword on closeout sale for $150 regularly $350 and was very surprised how really nice the sword was. On both these sales and on their FaceBook page they have always been very fast to answer any questions I had about the swords. So now I'm suppose to throw that all of that out the window just to go along with the crowd. Sorry, no can do, I have my own brain to do my own thinking. I will judge them by my own experience with them NOT by hearsay. If I receive a bad sword from them and they don't make good on it then and only then will I change my mind on them. So Holg, you're going back to MyArmoury ? Maybe I'll go back again too so we can play together again.

Leave me alone, simple as that. If you find me on Myarmoury, and continue stepping on my nerves, i might simply put down this whole messed-up sword hobby thing. Almost there. Same as i did with Star Wars - enough is enough. Selling all that crap would make me a lot wealthier - and wiser, i begin to think. I might take a look in here from time to time... maybe there were some interesting incidents with DSA swords, eh? Maybe involving you?

Holg you have to stop taking everything so personal. Everywhere you go there's going to be someone who will have a different opinion than yours. That's what make the world interesting. If everyone all liked the same thing there would only be one of everything. There goes freedom of choice. Sorry to hear about your crab thing.

If you both had crab louse, you could each pick one off and make them fight to the death. We could all place bets.
Since that won't actually take place, play nice and keep your hands to yourselves.

Actually if you feel something is a dead horse...actually believe that...it's quite easy to ignore it. But I am guessing you really don't believe that and just want the DSA bashing to stop because...reasons. As for owning one...none. When I did stage combat, I did get to handle quite a few of their swords that were used for that. Back when they made 2mm edges that was safe for stage combat instead of the 1mm edge that NOBODY likes. I would say probably dozens...from that era. After they made the change to 1mm and still produced overweight swords...about 10. Including the flame of angels which I reviewed way back when we did the round robin review of it. Of the newer more "historically accurate" models...3. NONE of their swords handles right for the type of sword. And they all had bad build issues...like giant gaps in the cross. The ONE aspect they had...which was they were tough blades seems to have gone out the window a they are using rat tail tangs (not from hearsay...from people who have actually taken their swords apart and have pictures of it) to try and get better stats on paper of their swords. Despite the fact that the better stats on paper doesn't translate to how the sword reacts in the hand since the weight distribution is all off. I was wondering why those new DSA swords with such good stats on paper felt so bad. Guess I have the answer now. And why I never own a DSA personally? Because other than the super old 2mm edges ones which could be used for stage combat if I did that often enough, they are NEVER worth what they charged. They aren't swords. Nevermind the lies that comes from their marketing. Nevermind that they admit to STEALING. Nevermind all that shady stuff they pull. What it comes down to is that they are not worth the price for what you get. Even more so now that they have rat tail tangs and pulp wood for the handle. Having sword that were over weight and poorly balanced to having swords that has all the mass in all the wrong places to get a stats on paper. Oh and DH blades...that flex.... I can get Del Tin to Albion swords which all perform MUCH better as swords than anything DSA as EVER produced. Hell, my new Ronin euro swords perform leaps and bounds better than anything DSA has ever produced...at half the price. You can get windlass swords for a quarter the price that will perform leaps and bounds better than what DSA has ever produced. They use to make good stage steel swords. They NEVER made good actual swords.

Why couldn't this thread have just ended with a fun video of a crab with a knife. But no, the incessant arguments had to continue...

My avatar doesn't take kindly to the beating of his deceased kinsman. Please desist further neigh-saying to avoid making him loose money on a gwent binge again. He's really struggled to get himself back in order, and seeing one of his own reduced to dust makes him a very sad pony.
On the other hand, that crab battle was fantastic. Reminds me of this gem (some minor language):

Some people just won't let it die. Hey Coldnapalm what ever, that's your opinion and you're entitled to it. No one is forcing you to buy DSA swords so don't buy them. If you're just looking for an argument look elsewhere because there are a lot of other people here I would rather spend my time talking to. Did I show you my beautiful DSA Eindride ? That is a lovely looking sword. And might I say, A really interesting display. Very extravagant.

I really like the runes and the plaque. Unfortunately I Don't have room to make a display like that. But I'd be interested to see how the others turn out.

The runes are in Elder Futhark, ca 2nd - 8th century. On the left it reads, The warrior within is not dead he waits his time to return. On the right it reads, That which does not kill us makes us stronger. Across the top it reads, Defender of the forest.

Totally not trying to exacerbate the DSA controversy, but quick question to Gunnar since he seems to be the owner that speaks up the most, what kind of stress testing have your swords gone through? Have you cut with them? If so, what materials did you cut? And how did everything hold up?
Most I ever did with a blade was cut down a dead sappling with a windlass hungarian. Got a few scratches and the guard loosened a tad, but besides that it took it like a champ.
