T/H Viking is the best sub 300 viking sword available at the moment. It would be a shame not to buy it if you are into Vikings. Unless you have one of Albion Vikings.

I like the versatility of that cutting stand. I want to make two - one like Tom's, and then a traditional cutting stand.

I am not able to cut with it or even swing it around yet because it is night time, but tomorrow I will go try it out. I love it though. The simple aesthetics are beautiful. It is actually heavier than I thought it would be, but from holding it I'm sure that I will be able to cut with it one handed. The grip fits my hands like it was custom made just for me. My only real dissapointment so far is the scabbard. The leather is very nice on it, but the sword doesn't fit inside properly. If I hold the sword by the hilt, the scabbard slides right off. This is only a minor dissapointment though, because $240 is a great price for the sword by itself. Tomorrow I will attempt the review.

Excellent Jonathan! I look forward to seeing your sword in action and hearing what you think. just please be careful practice your cuts slowly a few times so you know where it will go before you swing it.

That loose scabbard problem seems to be something occuring with the second gen VA practicals. My practical arming sword is the same.

as far as problems go, I think I count this one as "not really much of a problem" if I had to pick a flaw for my sword to have this would be a good pick. that being said, yeah a snug fit is nice, but hey these things aren't katana and have no special fitting to hold it in the scabbard like the habaki. I wouldn't let it bother me.

Guess I'm lucky... I have a second gen AT303S and AT304S and both of mine fit very well in their scabbards. I have them displayed on the wall suspended by the pommels with the scabbards on... so gravity is pulling at them at all times, and no problem.

I assumed the whole second line suffered from the loose scabbard thing. But as Tom said as problems go its miniscule edit for spelling

Hmmm funny that. I assumed the whole second line suffered from the loose scabbard thing. Certainly not... I got my Long and Arming sword from the second gen line after I got my Bristol... and the fit of the scabbard on both is great.

Fit on my second-gen 303 is pretty good. I can almost turn it upside down without it coming out. Not a perfect fit, but still very nice.
