YES!!! I can now die in peace, my friend. ;D Man, I envy you. I've handled that sword and it was a dream come true. Seriously, the VA's I've seen all felt more 'alive' in-hand than a $500+ albion a friend of mine from karate has. VA all the way. ;D Again, good choice, Jon. If you ever want to bring your bladed beauties over for a 2-man cutting party, you know where I live. -Slayer

I would like to meet you some day, Slayer. Examining your swords would be fun. We could have a miniature cutting party. There shall be more to come, Avery. As I said, the viking shall be mine in a month or so.

Indeed. Sword-loving guys my age are hard to come by you know! Especially the type who actually knows the first thing about swords. ;D Ah, who knows. I'm kind of busy tonight, but I'll send you a PM on the subject tomorow. -Slayer

Indeed to that as well, my strangely named compatriot. ;D Even more, if I am correct. Tajima is 14, I believe, while at least a few others have expressed their teen-hood. ;D However, the only one I know of who is within easy travel distance from me is Jon. He livews approximately an hour away from Tallahassee, where I reside in my humble, sword-cluttered room. ;D BTW, what exactly is your avatar? I've always wondered, but never remembered to ask... Thanks! ;D -Slayer

Ah, well I am in Utah, and not exactly close to Florida...I dislike it here, too warm, and to Mormon. My avatar is a flying monkey with a sewed on face, a guitar, and a diaper, he also has a large body and head, with little limbs I just found it on google images

Congrats Jonathan ! I wish I had started when I was 16 years old. You have a 41 year lead on me ! Oh well. Better late than never. You will get your 304 on about the same day I get my 303. chop chop, Chris . The 304S has just been purchased from the SBG sword store. It is now official - I shall be getting the VA practical longsword. I am still waiting on wiwingti to reply to my PM.

My heratige is his:
Wales 25% Scottland 25% Norway 25%
then a few generations of American blood, and some Irish make up the remaining twenty five percent.
Utah is HOT!
Anything over 70 is too hot.

I do believe this calls for a party of some sort.
Anyway, you say 70% is hot? I'm of English, Irish, and German decent and living in southern Arizona. During the summer we get temperatures of at least 115 in the shade. On the other hand though, our winters are really nice, so I guess I shouldn't complain. Though it would be nice to get some snow more than once every 5 years or so.
But yeah, I'm glad to hear you're finally getting a sword, I know what it's like to have a hard time deciding on something, but I'm certain you'll be happy with what you picked.

Utah is HOT! Anything over 70 is too hot. [glow=purple,2,300]HAH![/glow] I used to think like that... when I lived in NorCal and the normal tempature was between 50 - 90 with 60-80 being more common. Then I spent a summer here in Georgia where it was 108 with over 90% humidity... and I fricking MELTED. I assure you my young friend... I have been in Utah more then a few times... and it is NOT hot. Oh, BTW, congrats on your swords Jon.
