Gosh I really haven't done anything with my swords now for two years.. they are just gathering dust but unfortunately nobody wants to buy my collection as I am in the UK.

Yes they are sorry Leader Bee.
Edit: To elaborate the law is stupidly broad in its scope and bans ALL curved swords and so kills off sabres, tulwars etc.. There are a few ways around this such as the sword being "traditionally made" and being a member of a theater group/reenactor etc.. but either way you now run the gauntlet when importing a sword in the UK with customs demanding obscene levels of proof that the sword was traditionally made.

That looks awesome. I have been playing around with doing this on a tanto but I don't have rattan that is thin enough. Good job on it!

Not much here about advertising, I would personally classify this as Fraud.

I really love the design of the Oxtail sword, but I owned one around 9 years ago and couldn't get on with the weight, which was far too heavy for me. I wonder if the more recent ones are lighter as you handle the sword very well.

I quite like the ricasso, but personally hate that pommel style. It just seems quite abrupt with the transition of the grip to pommel, plus the ring seems too thin. Just my opinion but I suppose it isn't my cup of tea.
Slightly off topic, im just thinking about swords with full pommels, quite often they would be hollow so a light sword with a heavy POB wouldn't had been that uncommon.

You saw visible etching, or you just stopped using it on principle? It is acidic, but only pH 4, and is supposed to not do anything to the metal (just the rust) even if using long soaks. I used it on blades with hamon, which definitely "popped" out after using it.

If it works in a completely different way then fair enough, I may just buy some!
The stuff I have used in the past, which I advise against using on swords is renaissance de-corroder

I will measure mine up, but my sword seems completely different from the official myarmoury review sword. However I have heavily modified mine so the stats are unique to this sword.
I removed the central ridge, removed the bevels and overall reduced the general mass of the blade.

The grip feels OK but the sword is still quite heafty in the swing and I feel as if there is too much pressure on my arm because I can't grip completely, though it is OK in a handshake grip. So it is OK but just doesn't quite match up to the grip that is on my albion knight. The knight has a thinner grip, so I think that must be it!
Either that or the central raisers are not suitable and I made them too chunky.

OK so I have decided to scrap the grip and work on making it thinner. Grumble.. I hate the skivving of the leather..

Hmmmm, aside from the peen that we are all talking about, that is a very nice looking sword.
I am looking at my windlass XIV, which I have now heavily modified and am thinking of swapping it with a VA monarch. The sword looks lighter and more maneuverable than my XIV.

I suppose it is not all that surprising as you have the space X competition, which is entirely private. That and all the space tourism companies who are springing up.
