After 21 yrs of marriage my wife still loves the renfest and dragon con, hell she points out the girls in the skimpy outfits so I dont miss them.At Dragon con there are definatly some gifted women in anything from Japanese anime outfits, vampire's,ex playboy bunnies, dominatrix in leather with swords and wings (yes it gets downrite wierd)and alot of them have booths for selling autographs and their comic books and a lot of the vendors are downright talented artists. Plus ad the people (sort of,what do some of them do during the day)and it's incredibly interesting. I dig the art show lots of original art to buy or just look at,the vendor's booths and meeting a lot of Actors from TV or movies. If you can you have to go,if for no other reason than to people watch. Take a look at the website, lots of stuff. www.dragoncon.org/

Dragon*Con 2009 begins in five days!
Make your last minute reservations while you can, if you are able. Don't miss out on the biggest party of 2009. If you are going, let's exchange info so that we can get together for a drink or two while down there. ;D

This Con looks like a complete blast! I'm fortunate that I have a wife who is very tolerant of my hobbies and also quite tolerant of my checking out the young ladies. After all, I can claim that my interest is purely professional...

Dragon*Con begins in 48 hours!
I am telling you guys. I am a well-traveled man; served 20 years in the Army, been to every continent besides Antarctica, lived in Bangkok for 9 months once on a DoD subcontract. I've been there, done that, and got the t-shirt more than once. I've done everything I have wanted to in life (and alot of things I did not want to), but nothing else compares to the awesome spectacle you are about to let pass you by. Don't miss another chance to discover Dragon*Con. It is worth being part of...
Someone could offer me any Albion of my choice, including a Svante, if I were to not go to Dragon*Con, and I will still tell them to pound sand. It's more than worth it. If you knew what I knew (and what I have known for many years), you would be selling off some swords to go. Especially you guys that live in Georgia!
Those of you not going are missing out on...well, just missing out period. I can't really explain it, it's one of those things you would just have to witness for yourself. I will tell you this though, every person I have ever gotten to go to a Dragon*Con has made it their Number One priority every year thereafter, above even the normal holidays.
Even if you don't buy a ticket, just come down, pay $5 to park your car, and walk around the Hyatt, Marriott, or Sheraton about 9-10pm. If you are not having a blast within 10 minutes, something is seriously wrong with you!
Besides, where else can you wear your armor with a sword in a major metropolitan area and talk with other people wearing swords and armor and it be perfectly normal? This reason alone is good enough to spend the money.
I hate to beat a dead horse here, but I am telling you, especially you younger fellas, go to Dragon*Con. Just once, and you will be an addict and kick yourself for not going sooner. It's just that cool of a thing.

Wow... well, I highly doubt I wqould feel the need to go over a free Albion... I know for sure that if someone offered me BB's new Conan sword, I would promise them that I would attend no convention, Dragoncon or otherwise, ever again for as long as I live. I would even boycot RenFaires for 5 years for that thing.
