Oh yea hahahhahhahhhahaha I didn't even notice that š yea, my Spanish 1985 is my ideal duelling sword. So if someone had a bat or machete, I would feel safe going rotella and saber. Hilariously safe, in fact But I also like an arming sword. A good thrusting arming sword or Celtic leaf blade. You would be the master of the hallway going Roman style tactics I thought leaf blades would be more of a hacking weapon compared to spatha, gladius and NAUE or Type G swords which would be more suitable for slicing and stabbing? Wouldn't the swings with either xiphos or leaf blade require you more room? Not mine. But most have a central ridge don't they? Enabling a stiff thrusting sword, that can cut really well. Same idea as a gladius really, a sword that does both at the cost of length I just pick leaf blade so it doesn't sound like I'm on a shad band wagon, plus I prefer the way they look I would only be using thrusts but if I had the room to cut, I wanna be able to do that too. My leaf blade is certainly designed to be a very stiff thruster Edit: I should say it chops and thrusts well (as opposed to slices) . The point is super reinforced without being too bulky to do the job, sorta like a 1900 bayonet. It could certainly slice too with the angles the blade gets from the shape, but it shines at how well the hewing cuts perform, I imagine Pgandy: I've slept with my ballistic vest once. It wasn't too bad of a sleep, I didn't sweat as much as I thought I would

You guys don't sleep in full plate? That's just stupid. Everybody knows that you sleep in either chain or scale mail, not full plate. Honestly, if you weren't a knuckle-dragging barbarian I would expect more from you....

Pellius and Howler: š
Zenhydra: I would prefer a more bizarre, long, hard to read paragraph of an obscure fact, just in case it doesn't set off right away. Of course, as a Canadian, I know nothing of claymores

Thanks for sharing. If the Wichita Falls manās short spear is anything like my CS Short Assegai it is indeed a good choice for close quarter fighting.
