For those SBG forum members who have had covid 19 vaccine injections and for the benefit of those thinking about getting one of the vaccines, report which vaccine you got and any side effects/issues you experienced.
I received the Moderna vaccine;
First dose: I had a very sore arm at the injection point for almost 2 days. No other side effects. Second dose: Slightly less sore arm for about 1 1/2 days. Very slight flu symptoms for about a day; headache, sore joints/limbs and lethargic.
Note: I got my vaccine because a friend who is a Dr. had appointment cancellations and was able to distribute vaccine from cancelled appointments to anyone who could get to them before the open vaccine expired at the end of the day. Luckily I live near his office and am free all day.

Same (Moderna) vaccine and similar side effects.
1st injection, sore injection site and sore joints for about 2 days.
2nd injection, sore injection site (worse than the first injection) but no other issues.
Pretty uneventful really. My wife had just about the same experience as Newport's second injection. Mild headache, tired, aching joints for a day or two.

Pfizer, first shot 4 weeks ago, mildly sore injection site, lots of brain fog, and fatigue. Wife and coworkers had similar reactions. Brain fog, fatigue, and significantly worse reaction time. (Vet clinic, no serious incidents, but ability to dodge teeth was seriously impaired.)
second shot, 4 hours ago. At the moment I’m tired and feeling mild vertigo, mild headache but at the moment no symptoms worse than a Monday.
update, 20 hours after shot, significant injection site pain. Not crippling, but darn glad I had it done in the left arm. General body/muscle aches all over, a little lymph node swelling in the neck. Hard to quantify but I am a little more clumsy than normal. (More fumbling while making coffee, dropping dishes while washing etc..) Not really bad, but bad enough that I will not be using power tools today. Wife has similar symptoms, both of us are feeling much better than we expected.

The AstraZeneca got so much Bad Rep in Europe that its administration has been suspended in Iceland, Denmark and Norway. ( www.cnn.com/2021/03/11/europe/astrazeneca-vaccine-denmark-suspension-intl/index.html) Seems like Austria, Lithuania, Estonia, Latvia and Luxemburg followed suit. Ireland and Netherlands seems to have joined too. I think it had been suspended in Germany too for people over 65 but it may not be the case anymore. In France, the Health Ministry tried to reassure people by saying the secondary effects were easily counteracted by paracetamol but the bad press seems to have wormed its way already in people's mind (there was a vaccine center which schedule was full until people were informed it was the AstraZeneca vaccine they would get...there was a wave of cancellation). In Thailand, there was fear of an increased risk of blood clotting which made their Prime Minister cancel his scheduled very public live vaccination. ( www.ft.com/content/6cf98c42-f9e3-4d1c-b0fd-f810e70ad459) It seems everyone is fearing the blood clotting issue but maybe other people could share more light on all this.

Pfizer, nothing after the fist shot, the day after the second shot I was feeling a bit fatigued and had a bit of fever. All in all nothing major to report and a very small price to pay for protection against a Covid-infection.
My gf got AstraZeneca, the two days after the first shot she pretty much spent in bed with dizzyness, headache and nausea. Waiting on shot number 2, generally considered to be less problematic.

Pfizer, 2nd shot in Feb. Minor sore arm, no other issues. Got it because I'm old enough under my state's over-65 rule and I lucked out with the crowded and slow sign-up web site.

Two days ago I got my first shot of the Biontech vaccine together with my older brother, his wife and my 94 y.o. dad. Our old parents we care for are the reason we got the shot so early. Yesterday the injection point hurt a bit and I felt tired but I feel better today. My brother and his wife had less effects, my dad just sore at the injection point. It looks like the older you are the less problems you have. The young doctor said she stayed in bed sick for 2 days. Second shot in 6 weeks. ... (feel hunger for brains now! )

I got the second dose of Pfizer Wednesday. In neither case did I experience soreness. In the first case, the second day was the worse and felt light headed with some minor dizziness, much fatigue, sleepiness, fever, and generally blah, which lasted from Wednesday (when I received it) until Saturday morning at which time I felt OK, but Sunday wasn’t so good. By Monday back to normal. The second went much better, sleeping much of Thursday. Friday I felt well enough to fetch my machete and to the market for chow. By Saturday felt much like my old self.

Received my first shot of the Pfizer vaccine last week. Mildly sore injection spot for a day. General aches and pains over the next two days, as if I had spent a lot of time exercising. No other side effects. Will update when I get the second dose.
Qualified for the vaccine because I have type 2 diabetes.

1st shot of Moderna was a month ago. 2d shot was administered this morning.
Some concern about vaccination, primarily due to my advanced COPD. Glad I went ahead and did it. Went home after first injection, with no reaction. Woke up the next day with a sore arm and mild flu-like conditions. Took a DayQuill and the second day after the sore arm was still there; but the flushness was gone. Day three fine again. Been fine.
Expect much the same this time. Got the second shot 9am today and have had no reaction to it.
The organizational efficiency of the vaccine site is awesome. Both cases I arrived on site 15 mins early and both times they snatched me up and had me out the door, back in my car, and on my way home, at the time I was scheduled to report to the site.

Mine did not go as smoothly. Both days I arrived 15 minutes early. In the first case I waited 20 minutes past my appointment time. When my turn came I was rejected as I did not bring a companion, nothing was said regarding that. It took Hazel about 15 minutes to arrive, then another wait. I received the injection after a lengthy interrogation into my medical history and present condition. Then there was a 30 minute wait after receiving the shot before I was released. The second time I was brought in before the 15 minute early arrival had expired but required to wait 30 minutes after the injection during which time I realized that my ID and shot card had not been returned and nobody seemed to know anything about them. They were eventually found and I was released after the stated 30 minutes.

I had my first Pfizer injection the first week in February, and experienced no noticeable reaction. A week later I caught COVID, which sucked, and I missed my follow-up injection date. Because of the importance of the timing between injections, I have to start over. I was just now able to schedule a new vaccination series, and my "first" injection of the Pfizer (again) vaccine is scheduled for Thursday, April 1st.

So, you had one of the shots and then COVID and now have to have two more shots...yikes. It seems you would have antibodies and be immune, but I ain't no doc. After all that you should be able to walk into a nuclear reactor unharmed.

Got my first dose of the Pfizer vaccine 14 hours ago. Absolutely no noticeable reaction, except for extremely slight soreness around the injection site as usual per vaccines I’ve received. No limited mobility or anything else like that.

Is it just me or does every company everywhere have the same automated phone message "Due to COVID-19, we are experiencing unusually high call volume and wait times are longer than normal."? If I were conspiracy minded, I would suggest these companies have used the pandemic as an opportunity to cut customer service employees in half. Speaking of which, I got my first vaccine shot. Some rando in line was joking about the tracking microchips. I told him that was wrong. The microchips were in the vaccine to turn everyone who got it into an organic bitcoin miner which will create the world's largest network to collect bitcoin. I got this response: So I may have unwittingly started another conspiracy about the vaccine.
