Pfizer is now recommending three although that’s not what the above is about. Their third should be administered 12 months after the second. Those the annual booster shots we will now all have to get? What's the above all about? Zen getting lots of shots? I keep getting interrupted in my attempts to get vaccinated. A week after my very first Pfizer shot I caught COVID-19, and ended up missing the proper timing for my second shot. Having to start the process over again, the same day that I got the first shot (Pfizer again) of my second attempt I ended up hospitalized with an emergency surgery for a bowel obstruction, and then a second surgery because part of my large intestine had died from lack of blood flow and gone septic (fortunately I was already in the ICU when the sepsis was discovered). I was hospitalized long enough to miss the timing of my second vaccine shot. I just recently had another opportunity to receive the Pfizer vaccine series for COVID-19 through my employer (shot number 3), and this time after the first injection I had a pretty significant reaction (fever, chills, body ache, extremely sore arm). My second shot is scheduled for May 18, and I'm hoping a meteorite doesn't take me out before then.

With three of the first shots hopefully the 2nd is no biggie. They say (who is they?) just the 1st the first shot provides significant protection so your immune system could be extra primed by now. Three shots? Who has three shots? Zen got three shots of the first Pfizer dose because Murphy's Law kept preventing the 2nd shot. Doh! I saw he just explained the whole saga!

I assume that's a booster but that is only an assumption as the paper did not go into details, only that Pfizer is recommending a third shot 12 months after the second.

In my life, few things worth having came easy or free. Glad you are getting the shots/vaccinated.

Either that or you have used up so much bad luck you will now win the lottery.

Me and a brother (twin) got J&J on Fri. at 1:30. After going to bed (2AM) I noticed I was not warming up like usual so continued adding blankets and such until realizing I was experiencing vaccine reaction. I could not sleep and a dull ache appeared in my head, accompanied by soreness/stiffness in neck, shoulders, sides of my lower back (kidneys). I took a few aspirin (6:45AM) and went back to bed, getting up at around 11:30AM. Felt like I had a hangover. Had a mild fever with temp nearing 100 around 6PM but it did not get worse and I had a late lunch. Went to be at 12:30 after taking an ibuprofen (could have butchered the spelling on that one ). Anyway, slept for 11 hrs. and feel fine. Btw, my brother had EXACTLY the same symptoms, which is why the detail in my post. I was kind of worried about the shot because of the bee sting incident last summer. Addendum: Three days later my arm at injection site is still pretty sore.

Got my second Modena shot Wednesday morning. Arm was sore that day instead of next day like the first shot. Since it was given in the same arm, same place that’s not surprising. Got a very slight chill that night but it had turned cold that day so wasn’t sure which caused it. Put on sweatpants and a thermal shirt over my T-shirt and took a Tylenol. Some pressure in head but didn’t get to headache level. Next morning same very slight chill. Same treatment, Tylenol and same clothes. After that no issues at all.
Btw, I have 5G on my phone now! I hope the booster shot will give me free internet. 😏
Good luck to everyone who still needs to get theirs.

I got Moderna #2 on Sunday. The first shot gave me a little bit of a headache, fever, and fatigue. The second shot was the same, but a little more intense. The arm soreness was reversed though. After the first shot, my arm was sore for several days. 36 hours after the second shot and the soreness is almost gone.

Thanks. I'll be doing my best to avoid catching COVID-19 again. I'm already experiencing a strong reaction to this morning's jab.

Jeez Zen sounds like you went through hell to get your shots! I am 2 weeks past my 2nd shot, only slight injection site pain on both times of getting Moderna. Count me lucky I guess.

Congratulations. I thought of you this evening while watching the news. The government has extended the Pfizer time between injections from 21 days to 12 weeks. I expect that has something to do with our number of rising cases and they are trying to spread the vaccine that we have to cover more people by only giving the first shot. Just a guess on my part. I know that they are expecting more in July. 48 died today and the public hospitals are moving non-COVID-19 patients to private hospitals in order to make more room for the virus patients. I knew shortly after the papers announced that people were dying in their homes because the hospitals were topped out and there was an admissions queue that somehow those hospitals had increased the ICU capacity now I know how. While they are making more room the trained medical staff for COVID-19 is maxed out so there is no increase there. The result is less quality care.

Yeah, I got my first shot 8 weeks ago with a high priority because I helped nursing my mom at home. Around the time I got my second shot 6 weeks later = 2 weeks ago suddenly many others of my family and friends got their first. So I was only 6 weeks ahead. None of them had serious side effects btw.

It was a good feeling to get Biontech but I'd have taken AZ also. For women in their 20's/30's not the best choice but for us old male farts no problemo I think.
