I have a couple Highlander Point Gallery katana on order.
Jeffrey Robinson is making a couple swords for me. One will be done before 2018.
Have a couple Albion orders with KOA. A Sovereign and Alpha-Omega Sword.

Hm. I'm gonna go ahead and say more steel for blade making as I've just gotten into it, and a Hanwei tinker blade with a set of printed armoury fittings.

ill be buying text books, and maybe 1 cheaper sword Munich?! Ahem, I mean... I'll hopefully have a Valiant Armoury Craftsman line sword shortly after my birthday. I have faith in Sonny, but still feel the need to cross my fingers. Unless a real deal shows up though, it might be one of my only swords in 2018.

A rifle and (hopefully) a house, not necessarily in that order. For bladed stuff, I'm gonna wait and see. Antique swords are always on the table, but most others are not. A custom repro may be in the works but only when I've finalized the details on my mortgage.

After a little consumption binge in the last month I have to slow down a bit now. Perhaps a nice Jian or a good DH katana.
I remember a similar thread for 2017 but I couldn't find it any more. Would be funny to read it again. I think I've got all what I aimed for in 2017.

Hmm. What AM I buying next year, or what do I WANT to buy next year? If I had my wants, then that would be pretty much everything I can lay my hands on. I want to build one of those armory rooms with swords displayed in geometric patterns on the ceiling and such like that.
But reality dictates that I might buy one, maybe two next year. I've got a mind for getting into medieval European swords, so maybe a hand and a half, or a broadsword. Something of that nature (some form of spear is not out of the question either). I have to do some research first, but for me, that is the fun part.

The new ronin katana Euro designs. Especially the alexandria sword.

Got two Albions planned to come in january, scabbards for both by Tod. Got an arm harness, helmet and fingered gauntlets due in april/may from Armorysmith as well. Then I hope to buy the Feilong Higo and Iwa Shobu during the year, we will see what money allows, I also really want a Falx from Iamandi.

A Dojo Pro at the KoA S&D sale if I can get one, will be watching Christmas/boxing day sales for possible good deals or whatever catch my fancy, if anything.
Quite probably a good looking Huawei, and possibly a Jian for my wife, looking into it.

Quite probably a good looking Huawei, and possibly a Jian for my wife, looking into it. I thought about buying a samurai armor after I move in my new apartment. And because of the high price I don't think I can afford more swords next year while paying of my apartment. Though I would also love to buy a Huawei...

I have a Prince with blue grip and bronze pommel on order from Albion. I'm in Brian Kunz's queue as well: I've asked him to build a scabbard for my Viceroy. If I happen to have anything in the sword budget the next time Viking Shield has stock I'd like to pick up a Squire Line Gotland. Recently I've become interested in Unokubi-zukuri geometry and am trying to figure out which production sword would be a good introduction to the type. Lastly, I'm very excited for the re-launch of Tod's Workshop and Tod Cutler. I'm not sure what I'll be buying there but I think a baselard might be in my future.

I already have a Principe ordered from Albion which I should get around next Summer. I too am excited about Tod's new virtual storefronts, and I hope to get either/both a schmancy rondel and/or baselard from his offerings. I also intend to commision another atypical sword configuration from Sinosword.

More tatami and a Kotetsu or two. And sell off a bunch of stuff I don't use.

I have more stuff to unload than to buy. Got into the acquisitions earlier in the year, buying one of everything. At least now I know what I really am interested in...but that's a lot to unload.
I am toying with turning a Windlass small sword into my version of Arya Stark's Needle, however...
