Haha....eh . Yes, before Zen had it made, I warned him about not making the kasane too thick like me. I think he did make it thinner. I think a -few- of us may have warned you, Blade. Yeah, but last year I was under the influence of mega pain killers (tramadol). LOL!

Zen -- Your Mega Monster sword and the Mega Machete sword makes me think of Fable Blades Ice sword below. LOL! I hadn't seen that one before. The proportion is definitely something I have been working up to commissioning one day. I NEED a great sword version of a cinquedea. Just image that Ice blade covered in fullers and with a scaled up cinquedea hilt! That is Brendan of Fable Blades holding the sword. He said he is 5 foot 10 inches tall and 200 pounds in pic. Wow Zen, you lik'em mega wide! Would be cool. Which of the special coins did you put in the mega monster sword pommel?

As far as the coins are concerned, I assume you mean the goetic demonology coins I've previously mentioned in another thread. The Kickstarter campaign is still going, so no coins yet. I don't want to share my specific plans until I know I can make them a reality.

I kind of want to commission another atypically sized sword from Sinosword. One idea I'm toying with is something with the lines of a unokubi zukuri styled ko-katana, but about 3 inches (7.62 cm) wide and with radical distal taper. The longer ko-katana nakago would make it feasible to switch between sword and polearm mounts.

Well...I would have stated it that way, but not long ago I got pounced upon for using that term without further specification. Since naginata-naoshi really just speaks to being a repurposed naginata blade, and doesn't really define anything else about that blade's specific shape and/or other attributes (and since naginata blades have apparently been every blade shape imaginable), I decided to forgo using it (and hopefully avoid the pedantic pummeling). Edit: ...but yes, monster naginata.

Update: Most know that when I recieved the monster katana from Sinosword last year, it had mega rust on one side. Van of Sinosword said that it was one of two (2) swords with that problem last year. He believed it was because of shipping during the long rainy season. I also think the presentation box liner absorbed the oil from that side of the bare blade. I removed the rust, but was left with pits and stains. Sinosword was going to repolish the blade and upgrade the sword for me for free if I could return it (from U.S. to China). They even sent me funds to pay for return shipping. However, everytime I put "sword" on the customs form, no USPS office would ship it. None. Other shippers wanted over $300 to ship it and they would not guarantee that the sword would arrive to Sinosword. This has gone on for over a year now. When I informed Van of the continued status, Sinosword just sent me a complete refund. Wow. Mega impressive. ......then my daughter raided my paypal for college costs!?!

Again - Sinosword shows almost unbeatable customer service once more. Thanks for sharing.

Yes. A very honorable vendor indeed. I wish they were an SBG Store vendor.

No. I could not get all the shipping rust and pitting removed from one side. Unable to find a method to ship it back to China. Sinosword actually did a 100% refund. Last year I shipped it to Verity. He will attempt to resurface it.
