I remember seeing The Keep in tv maaany years ago and I really liked it, unfortunately it was never aired again here.
Same with another little movie I like: "Mediterraneo", an italian movie where a group of italian soldiers in WW2 are lost on a greek island and assimilate with the people there. Watching this movie is like a week vacation in the sun.

* "The Challenge"... Scott Glenn, Toshiro Mifune... superb Movie, released some years ago from a swiss blu-ray-label in astounding quality!
* "The Crow"... maybe THE essential goth movie
* "The Keep"... oh yeah, kind strange, kinda cool... i like Michael Manns work usually
* "Phantasm"... really a horror flick with balls... gnniarrharharr! Somehow it still gives me the creeps...
* "Once Upon A Time In The West"... ahhh, that climax duel music... the only piece of music that can beat "Extasy of Gold" - and all-time niceguy Henry Fonda starring as a stone cold sadistic killer... awesome!

Not a pure "Cult" film, but how I do love this scene:

How about the ?British-made? werewolf movie "Dog Soldiers" ?? IMHO, one of the better made werewolf movies with a nice twist in it :)

Ah, Time Bandits was a great one! My favorite scene was Napoleon watching them on stage..."Little things hitting each other!" Don't know if I've ever laughed that hard at another scene in a film.
Another one of my favorites, definitely in the cult category, would be "The Hunted" from 2003, with Benicio Del Toro & Tommy Lee Jones. That's where I first saw Connie Nielsen as well---YUM. The film's production budget was $55 million, yet only netted $45.5 million at the box office. Many critics said it was a reboot of Rambo; I wouldn't know, as I could never bring myself to sit through Rambo. My wife is a big fan of the film as well, and has me currently making her a version of the tracker knife seen throughout the film. Here's one of my favorite scenes:

Sword related: "Hawk the Slayer" and "Krull" Non-sword related: "Reservoir Dogs" I tried streaming Hawk The Slayer last week, but my FireStick didn't like it... only saw about 1/4 before the stick semprini down and restarted. Streamed other movies since then with no problems. I guess it's just not meant to be. Anyway, aside from some that have already been mentioned, you can't talk about cult movies without adding Gojira, Super Inframan, or The Sword and athe Sorcerer.

Here's one of my favorite scenes: I wouldn't say that The Hunted is a reboot of First Blood the film, but I will say that the Aaron Hallam character is closer to the Rambo of the original book First Blood than Rambo of the film. I love the book to death and have read it several times, but the movie is so different that I can't really pull the "the book is way better" card. Both are great.

One of my all-time favorite obscure horror films: Let's Scare Jessica to Death

So many great movies mentioned here that I need to re-watch, many of my own old favourites, and a few new ones for me to find. "Once Upon A Time In The West"... ahhh, that climax duel music... the only piece of music that can beat "Extasy of Gold" Terrific movies and soundtracks; but for me, nothing can top the final duel in 'For a Few Dollars More' with Ennio Morricone's 'La Resa Del Conti' track. It makes my whole body tingle every time I watch it. I much prefer Ridley Scott's cut with Jerry Goldsmith's soundtrack (which is 'the' original, btw). Each to his own Some of my other favourites, which I don't think have been mentioned yet: Dark Star Silent Running The Quiet Earth Wolf (with Jack Nicholson) Zulu (surprised no-one else has said this)
