The suspense is killing me. Just wanted to let everyone know that this particular swordsman is freaking out. LoL Not really, but I am really anxious to acquire the new sword. My axe work is getting alot better, I can wield a two handed viking axe comfortably and powerfully in one hand, now. Boredom can be a powerful motivator.

BAH BAH BAH! 7 days until paycheck, stop pre-ordering the sharp longsword so there is one left for me . Now a serious question, how many of the sharp longsword will be made?

Well, customs is taking its sweet time with them. They have decided to throw in some additional and very irritating red tape that is proving to have something of a molasses effect, but hopefully will have some good news for you all soon...
Sorry for the delays, customs really can be a pain sometimes...

Yeah well since custom at one point refused to allow a shipment of rubber training knives form japan because they "could be lethal weapons"...I'm not surprised. Of course the 4 yari were given a green light...but rubber training knives?!? Oh no, can't have those...might hurt yourself.

Any word on the status of these swords. I'm starting to get some withdrawal symptoms bad, shakes, blurry vision, stacks of pool noodles, bottles, ect ...

2 questions: First, if I want to order one of the top 2 swords pictured at the top of page two of this thread, how do I do so? Second, has it been confirmed that the difference between the top 2 and the bottom 2 are unsharp vs. sharp?
Ok... 3rd question... will the price in the SBG store remain the same once swords are in stock or is this just a pre-order price. I kinda want to wait and hear what reviews tell us, but am always on the lookout for a good deal.

The Swords are in and will begin shipping in around 2 days. More news to come later but we are working on a special offering. As these are all hand forged swords there are of course some variations from sword to sword. As long as the swords meet the minimum guidelines then they will ship out as usual. However Gus has offer to modify any of the swords that don't fall within the guidelines. This make the end result an even closer sword to a Gus Trim custom original. The Gus customized swords will be a little more but with the fact that Gus personalized made all the adjustments to the blades, we feel that it is worth it. Overall Gus was pleased with the production versions of his swords so either way you will get a sword you can be very proud of.

This is great news, thanks Sonny!
Oh and a question, you said that there will be variation on the swords. Can one request lets say a sword that is extra big of the ones etc?

I am interested in a special offering for a customized "tuned" sword. I am interested in the arming sword. Any ideas when this offering will be made available and will it be through the SBG store? I was going to order the arming sword but was interested about the custom offering. Any idea what kind of ETA we are looking at for the offer? Thanks.

Just recieved one of the practical long swords. It feels perfect and well balanced. Trim did a great job on this sword design.

I talked to Gus about these on Wednesday. He said they were spec'd to come in at about 45-47 RC? But the ones he has tested go about 53-54 RC (if not harder), that's even harder than the blades Gus makes, more like something from Tinker. And he said they seemed durable as Hell, based on his edge testing.
These are gonna be winners for sure!

I agree please post some pic's and if you get a chance to do some cutting let us know how she preforms. That would be great. I am waiting on mine to come up to the great white north and I am guessing it will be around 2 weeks. Hopefully a few more of you down in the states will have gotten them and had a chance to do a review. Thanks in advance.
