The game has changed... The Valiant Armoury Practical Line swords are awaiting customs clearance and are now ready to be ordered direct from the SBG Sword Store hereAt the moment, they are only available direct from SBG to US customers, but I will hopefully be expanding this soon. Prices are being offered at the MAP, which is $215.99 for the Arming Sword (MSRP $269.99) and $239.99 for the Longsword (MSRP $299.99). Really great value for Atrim designed blades - I've been waiting for this for a while now... Finally, sub US$300 swords that handle and perform like a historical blade should! Like I said, the game has changed - stand by for some serious reviews in the not too distant future (normally I wouldn't offer a sword at the SBG Sword Store without trying it out first hand, but if these have been approved by Gus, who the heck am I to argue with that! ) Cheers, - Paul

Oh dear...do I get one of these or wait for the Signature Collection? Or both? Excuse me while I tear my hair out.

I know how you feel Random. When I first found out that they are about to ship, I could barely type! Honestly haven't been this excited about a new release in years...

Oh sexy. I thought the practical lines were gonna all have false edges. Is the sharp version sharpened afterwards or did they make a sharp and unsharp version?

I'll have more info on the specifics soon, but needless to say - they are going to go soon before we can get all the stats! No dimensions yet available, but I'm chasing that up. And as to the sharpening, they are all done at the factory - not an aftermarket sharpening on a blunt. I believe the bevel is the same as on a standard Atrim, but the sharps and the blunts are differenciated at the source. Will let you all know more soon. But if you can, jump on in. - (a very excited) Paul

I wish I had the money for one of these puppies, damnit! I have been looking for an ATrim blade for a long time, oh well I will have to wait for another time.

Just ordered the longsword! Thanks Paul DITTO! Couldn't resist this offer. I was trying to buy an older AT1313. Now I'm glad the guy wouldn't talk to me. Just saved me $100! A big, huge, fat, gigantic "Thank You" to Paul and Sonny.

Just bought the practical arming sword. I love that crossguard. I'm definitely interested if there's a scabbard available.

Hello Guys, I think this will help some. I will post the specs later on after I have received the Shipment from Customs to make sure that I have every detail on the swords. Sonny Valiant Armoury

These look very yummy. Me want very much. May I ask where they are being sourced from? Is it China, India, or the Phillipines? I would be interested to know. If they are AT designs which are endorsed by him I would imagine the QA and QC are a non issue and very high.

Thank you for your reply, Paul. You run a terrific site here, and much more friendly than some other big haughty bunched up pantie wearing sword forums. LoL I actually had no idea the valiant atrim practicals were anywhere near shipping, and I had been racking my brain (and the internet) for a good arming sword under the regular atrim $450 mark. So thank you again for saving me a bundle. You've got another loyal forumite, now.
Josh
