Very first impressions only as I have not yet had time to really play with it yet: I got the zombie slayer grip and everything in antique red. It looks even better in person than in the pics. Grip feels strange but comfortable. Odd shape as it gets thinner (width-wise) as it gets towards the guard. Opposite of most historical sword designs that I am familiar width. Made of very thick stock with a very noticeable distal taper towards the point. Tang and guard are very thick. Substantial weight. Not a nimble sword, but not clumsy. Good blade presence. This things wants...no, NEEDS to cut. Very sharp. Scabbard and baldric are nicely done. Chuck: Pictures are to follow

Rugged and cool. Any other swords it handles similarly too? Bit more forward in the cut than the Krieg, maybe?

Definitely more forward in the cut than the Krieg. It really isn't much like any other sword I have handled.
I did some dry handling (in between snapping photos) and I have to say it moves nicely once in motion. The long grip (10") certainly helps. I'll have to play more with it to get a more solid opinion but so far I like the handling for what it is.

Looks great! Straight antique red all around from the tread plate to the baldric looks very nice. The more I look at your pic and the original balric colour, the more I wonder if they are the same.? For the grip it looks to me like the wrap over the tred plate is a lighter colour on the original, and you did both the tread and wrap in antique red, right?
Does your scabbard get darker towards the chape?

very pretty. The chape looks like it fits perfectly - I guess enough of us asked for it
Is the ricasso to guard area a bit edgey? Looks like I might want to smooth mine out a bit...
Thanks for the pics ChrisA!

I ordered everything in antique red. However the wrap around the tread is brown. It looks good. The scabbard is a uniform color all the way through. It might my photography that makes it look darker

I am super excited about getting my Zombie Slayer. I placed my pre-order back in May.
Black acetal grips oxblood scabbard oxblood strap
can't wait to get it (I ordered mine in MAY, and I still haven't gotten that tracking number email), SUPER excited!
anyone who has received theirs, is use of the back strap for a draw very feasible? or is it kinda more of a carry only sort of set up? never used a back strap before, interested to hear what owners think about it.

The baldric is absolutely, positively, unarguably for carrying only. There is no way any normal person can draw that long sword from their back.

I'm not sure I'll get a tracking number.

This is the case on mine... the squared shoulders of the blade catch on the scabbard, so I'm going to smooth them out a bit.
Agreed. I had a back rig made for my BIG swords... they way I use it is as carry only... if you want to draw your sword, you slip of the rig, draw and drop the rig. Drawing from the back is a contortion act.

very cool, I haven't even gotten mine yet
any possibility of suspending it from 1 shoulder like a rifle? We can just slide/rotate the scabbard/sling forward and draw. Or is the shoulder strap set too short/high up to do this?
Not sure sure if this is feasible - you guys are gonna try it out for us, pretty please?
