What kind of sword is a nanana na nana ? Asian, right? Is it a curved blade or double edged?

we will have several models ready to ship by friday. Starting now you can place orders to have a sword commissioned. You have the option to pay half now and half later or the whole thing up front!
Imagine that ATRIM blades on a payment plan!!!

I was thinking of the Mercenary Line. I'd prefer to save $100, and finish it myself. Always relaxing, and meditative, working with something razor sharp.

OOohhhh! I like that. I was looking through the site earlier and was just popping in to ask if the ordering feature was functioning, glad to know it is. That new Xa.4 sounds pretty exciting....

I am so sorry for not mentioning you Hiroshi, you may flog me for it tomorrow.
Yes Hiroshi is our web master and katana man.
on the katana I would like to clarify something that I was confused about in Hiroshi's post: we hope to offer a high quality katana for a competitive price and we hope to offer a budget katana that is of extremely high quality for the budget. unless the katana is a very high quality piece we will not offer it. the same is true of our European swords of course but I have every trust and faith in Gus' ability to turn out wonderful swords.
Xa.4 is a model I am very excited about too, and not just me but Mike also. I suspect the Xa.4 may be Mike's first custom.

Tom and Hiroshi,
Is this Bugei/Citadel/MAS quality katana for less than their current offered price?

I hope the deposit and all up front formula works out but with the 50% (and more) up front comes a lot of responsibility. I don't see any limited liability notice for the site and that reads like a potential problem for all involved down the road. A concern may arise if a maker is spread too thin and in the case of an overseas project, supply and even basic fulfillment can be a real and ongoing issue over the years. Best of luck for all but don't forget the past. There have simply been too many cases of both in country projects and newly contracted batching overseas to disregard what can go wrong.

We are currently in negotiations with the forge. We will be getting a sample from the forge. When we do, I will review the sword/s and we will also send the sword/s to one of the forum members (we have not decided who yet) to give an objective review.
We are hoping that the quality will be akin to a sword that would sell for $400-$500

As far as the katana, those will be in house, in stock, and throughly inspected before they are listed on the site. So need to worry about past issues of katana projects never being delivered. In the future We MAY think of doing a custom batch, but those swords will NOT be paid for in advance and no monies will be exchanged untill the swords are in stock, inspected and ready to go in the box.
I'll let Tom field the question regarding the euro's.

and that is why we call ourselves TRIED and true!
all our swords will be individually inspected.
as for getting ahead of ourselves on the pre-orders, we are definitely concerned about this and we are going to do two things to control it.
1: once we have 10 commissions we will stop accepting commissions.
2: we will not obligate the money from a commission to any project until the sword is paid in full AND shipped.
3: when we do ship we will buy insurance on the item so that if it gets lost in the mail (or worse) then the post office will have to replace it.
Bugei/MAS/Citadel/Munetoshi/Ronin Katana/DF/Kensei and many other companies make many wonderful swords and I don't want to make a direct comparison, I'll leave that to all of you. we don't know what the quality of the forge we are talking to will be yet, but things look very good. if they can deliver on half of their promises it will be very good indeed.
we are dreaming big but starting small, stick with us and see what happens. should be a fun ride.

Tom, how would I order a Mercenary grade? There's no option on the website to do so.
