OK guys and gals, I wanted to hold off until the swords from Gus got here but things are moving fast and I just can't hold my lips anymore.
some time ago I did three reviews of Munition Grade ATrim swords that I just loved. in fact the Austrian Great Sword is still one of my all-time favorites. at the time Gus was talking about doing Munition Grade swords on purpose as a line, but it never really happened for many reasons.
Gus and I have been talking a lot lately and the outcome is that I am going to start selling ATrim swords through a brand new web store:
Tried and True Armory ( www.triedandtruearmory.com/ )
we are going to start with Munition Grade swords. first because they are cheaper and it is something I have really wanted to come back and because Gus has created a few more of them than normal recently due to machine issues. in addition to this we are going to carry a line of ATrim swords that will be made purposefully to minimize cost but maintain the high standards of performance expected of ATrim swords. They will be called Mercenary Grade. they will be characterized by a rough satiny finish of approximately 120 grit, and their fullers (if they have any) will be left black which saves Gus the hours of polishing them out (which I can tell you from personal experience is a lot of no-fun work).
These swords will sell for about $350 for single handed swords.
we have five swords in the mail which should be here tomorrow. this is a humble start but one has to start somewhere.
there will be at least two brand new models amongst them that have never been sold before.
but we aren't stopping there.
in the future we will be sending swords to Mike Harris for customization. once he has a sword done it will be more historic looking and will be customized to his desire. we will sell these only as they are completed and will not be accepting advanced orders. they will be worth it, if there are more people in line for them than are being made I'm sure we can figure out something. these swords will sell at a higher price point depending on what is done to them. each will be unique.
we will also be offering a full catalog of ATrim sword models that will be developed as we experience them.
we also plan to offer katana at some point in the future but we have yet to secure a reliable maker.
so please check out Tried and True Armory and if you are looking for a Munition Grade ATrim we hope you will shop with us.
also being that we are all SBG forumites we will be here to serve your needs, answer your questions and help you in any way we can.
