He might be married, but the kids are either all grown, or didn't survive childhood! (I still have counter/furniture corner protectors scattered throughout the house, and my youngest is 13!) We homeschool and often have other kids/families over for events, classes. Many of the boys are "real boys" and would find it very hard to resist playing with Mr. Jordan's sharpies, no matter the threat leveled. Swords and boys...can't keep 'em apart.

Thanks for the kind words. I take the most pleasure though from fueling your own sense of wonder and pleasure in touching the past through these artifacts. "Wonderful, just wonderful, i could spend entire days in that place !" Yeah. There is that quality to this sort of thing. My ancients all are in a small guest room, I usually have closed up. When you go in the first surprise are the 6" 2" mannikins. But the other pleasure is that your head fills up with the wonderful scents of leathers, oils, wood and steel. I can sit in that little space for an hour 'n just clap my wittle hoofs and say : Wheeeeeeeee, whee, whee, wheeeeeeeee. ( Love that commercial. )

Where did you find the mannequins/dummies? I presume you were not hanging out behind Nordstrom or Macy's. Do the armor/dress and helmet specialty shops also sell these for this very purpose? Or did you improvise?

"Where did you find the mannequins/dummies? I presume you were not hanging out behind Nordstrom or Macy's." www.roxydisplayinc.com/Check them out. Everybody sells their merchandise for a lot more than they do. UPS tare weights are a little extra, but they pack well and ship fast. "So which one's are your favorites, Dave? " Yes... That question is a political minefield, of course. I bought all of them. Some are disappointing. I'd rather not point them out. Dote on the Vivamus, but it's too heavy. Love the Cervenka. My Garde de Bataille and Cuirassier originals... Several of my Brit Cavalry Swords My 1860 Spanish Saber is excellent The Albion Landgraf is exceptional Love the Patton Saber Have been selective with my Windlass buys and most are quite good and fun to play with guitlessly. The Bilbo is a disappointment because I really wanted it. But I inserted a leather plug around the blade and it has helped a great deal. I could go on, but it's dinner time...

What are the katana (2) in your last photo?
(The top looks like a Hanwei Tori Elite of some stripe. Not sure about the bottom one.)
