Great Curator of the SBG Sword Museum, I am but a young and foolhardy boy, proficient in Sabre, Foil, and Epee. I humbly ask to resign myself to your great wisdom and teachings and request that you be my Godfather.

Atasnice. Godfather acceptsa you ommaggio and grants you share ovva my wisdom enna teachings. Ashpet...first Godafatha gots to call upon you for a SMALL service. Godafatha would likea you should come up wid eightathousand dollars so Godafatha cana go en get a rack of Russian swords for da familia. Doing dis willa make you more wise. Ita teach you not to makea deals wid wise guys.... Little cheesecake. My expanding family of French 1882 sword system items. The big one is actually an 1883 modified 1854 bladed Cuirassier. ( I don't have the 1882 Cuirassier. It's a little rarer than the others. Another sword the Curassiers hated and didn't want, thus the recycled blades. ) Mid weight is the 35.5 inch Dragoon. And a 33.5 inch Cavalry Legere.

Dear god! You managed to lag my laptop with all the pictures! On the positive note, if someone tries to rob your house, 1, it would be too heavy for them to take ALL your weapons, and 2, you could grab, ANY ONE OF those weapons and cut them to ribbons before they could say "MY GOD YOU HAVE A BIG...collection"

Goodness me, how do you afford all those books, weapons and equipments?
Theory: Your mannequins print money.

Hey, Dave, what's the 5th sword from the right in that picture? I'm guessing a French 1896, am I right?

Yessir; it's the French Cavalry Officer 1896. Sword could be ordered from the factory in S,M or L (33.5, 35,37 in) This one is a 35.

Hi Dave, just found this post, and here I was thinking you're just a sabre guy! This is the kind of collection we all dream about having one day, and you've done it so well, it's a like a personal sword museum, I'm blown away by it all. The inclusion of armour and military dress really completes the collection nicely.
Got to say, I couldn't believe it when I saw the Roman Legionaire figure in full battle dress with shield an pilum, that's seriously an imposing figure, it must have scared a few people in it's time! Looks most impressive.
Must say, most impressed by a astounding collection, I could literally spend hours perusing such a collection!

You're welcome. Glad to share with folks who appreciate it for what it is. Sorry you can't all get close enough to hold, feel and smell this stuff.
Cheers

First class collection. The room looks like a museum! I especially like how you collect headdress as well. Too many people go solely for weapons and exclude a wider range of militaria . Top notch!

I always liked the looks of that one. Nice to see an ambidexterous hilt of this kind.
