What I find amazing is that my wife is fully aware of who and what she married and is still with me. I think she likes my parents...

I'd be able to afford to keep some of my own swords At least I get to play with them before they go out. haha I'd have to put it on the mortgage in reality, but it I were burning it I'd spruce up my dirtbike with all the parts it's worn. Get a killer beltsander setup, buy a full stock of exotic woods. Nice sharp bits for the milling machine, serious protective gear for work, a killer welder... maybe a gas forge and power hammer and start pattern welding? I've probably just spent it 3 times over - 5K don't go far... Sean I do hope it turns out to be a blessing!

$5350 to burn? I'd get one of these for the sheer hell of it: www.wtknives.com/warrenthomasswords.htmlWhy? Because I had $5350 to burn, that's why . I'd definitely find something else to buy with the excess cash, too. --Edward P.S. I'm thinking of getting one anyway. I already have an MAS L6 katana; I'm pretty happy having that as my most expensive (and quite well-built) traditional katana.

HOWEVER when it all ends in zombies can she wrap herself up in that rug to protect from the bites of infectious doom I WISH I had the armour in my Avatar. That is a fellow named Clint Robbinson, he does leatherwork for sale and he makes all his own stuff, that armour included. It would set me back abuot 2k, and I WANT it BAD!!! However, I have never felt comfortable dropping 2k on what amounts to a 'want' rather then a 'need'... allthough after my wife dropped the 5k on the rug I'm starting to think I shoulda bought that armour awhile ago! ;D

Gotta say though...never expected to be talking about rugs in this forum...lol... I wonder how rolls of rug/carpet do as a cutting target? As a matter of fact, they are very difficult to cut, at least carpet is. All that glue and heavy material... but I did try it out with some spare carpet left over from (something?cant remember ) anything thicker than a few inches was hard to cut all of the way through. I would be willing to bet a silk handmade carpet could be cut through with much more ease... ;D

If I were going to blow the money, I'd probably pick up a set of Samurai armor and use whatever was left on a better laptop.

First I'd pay off my wife's car. With the other 4k I'd get a Custom scramseax from Brenno, a Viking piece from Vladmir Cervenka, A scabbard for that piece from Brian (I have to have one sword I didn't do anything to) , and a Vasa rapier from A&A. Anything left over would be spent on woodworking tools.

Except, now I don't have MONEY on my side... 5k is a massive amount of our cash, I should have bought the armour before, I likely will not get it for a LONG time now. In fact, looks to see more swords and RenFaire Clothes for sale here soon since our bank account has now been punched in the mouth.

Lasted a couple hourse even. Paid off a couple credit cards. Trust me, I could easily spend 5 grand on a laptop. Considering some of the programs I normally run I have to spend at least 2-3k anyway. ;D
