That vid Luna posted doesn't work for me atm, but I bet that doesn't have enough "YAAAAAAAAATCH!"
God, that "YAAAAAAATCH!"-ing is just too funny.
*If I ever put up a cutting video, y'all can be sure I'll throw in some "YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAATCH!"s.

Luanaman, holy crap! That's amazing, I think I'll get one of my residents to translate this for me.... Thanks for bringing that up. Man, I would LOVE to own either of those swords.

Thanks for the link, ended up watching all 5 parts of lock n load, he he its a little off but I do love Ermey .......... yeah old debate but for newbies it begs re-telling, because sometimes its the shock of dispelling one myth that makes people hungry to find the truth in other things.

ok that video was pretty cool. I caqn't help but wonder what hapened with the sword cutting test. I looked really close on the second cut but could not see the knick/chip from the first round. so does that mean they got a new sword, flipped over the same one to hack the opposite side or was it just a trick of the camera I couldn't see it? I mean unless they got a fresh sword then it was already stressed from the first test and not a valid test. I wasn't surprised by the damage to the katana but I was pretty surprised by the damamge to the longsword. interesting stuff here. I also noticed that when test cutting on tatami the katana did almost all horizontal cuts while the longsword did a lot of 45 deg diagonal cuts. diagonal cuts are much easier so it wasn't a direct comparison. I know from personal experience that Euro swords can cut just as well as katana and that the user is much more of a factor than the sword itself

Still, I like others never get tired of the Stephan Roth video.
