was this forged from rebar or is the rebar simply to hold the piece to work on it? also awesome bit of work there

thanks been a hell of a struggle with them but the pay off is worth it i think, did a glave (basically a big shuriken ) viewtopic.php?f=24&t=13079&p=165110&hilit=glave+krull#p165110 there are some guys on the rpf who have done ones that open and one guy has made one that returns (its foam unfortunately), mines not that flash but still wicked to throw around

just for fun and because i need the practice welding i fabricated this made entirely from galvanized c section (cause its hard to weld and i had it on hand ) and one steel bolt, still suck at welding but fun piece none the less  sticks into wood with little or no damage and way too much fun to swing round Attachments:

thanks pretty happy with it so far thanks never sure if people want to see progress shots or not, figure it might help others if they wanna attempt it themselves again thanks  when i was cleaning up other day noticed one of the off cuts looked like it would make an interesting axe so welded it to a piece of flattened tube started looking at it and realized it was same shape as the torqill axe blade sans spike, so i decided to use the off cuts i had from making the axe heads to fabricate a smaller version of it, this is it (not gonna do a top spike or base spike would be too dangerous to user) Attachments:

got handle for my torquil axe , actually bought two one is an adze handle and the other is a mattock handle, adze handle works better for the overall look which meant that i had to fabricate a new center piece, which got me thinking if i have to make a new center might as well fabricate a new back spike which is closer to the original, so i basically started over heres what it looks like now (also fabricated a but cap to fit handle) new head stylebutt cap still gotta clean up all the welds but hoping to get onto that tomorrow much happier with this look of course now i have half a pick i dont know what ill do with..........
