I boxed for years and my home was Arthur Ramalho's Lowell West End Gym. Always loved swords and martial arts.
You have no access to any kind of outlet? A heavy bag, some quiet space to practice with swords?
Get excited, this may work:

Great responses already, I can't add anything.
I would ask, what sword is that? And what's wrong with the hamon in your eyes or just a preference?

I recently worked with Matthew Jensen and can give him my highest recommendation.
Communication was top flight and we worked together to find the right sword for me. I got a fair deal and feel good about my buy. Shipping was prompt and so well packaged, there was no worry about anything happening to the sword.
Professional and sharp, I am glad to work with him.

p.s. I drool over the Simon Lee sword.... You and me both! That is a nice sword for the asking price especially after the price drop. I see a few people have asked about it so it may be taken now though. Are his swords any good? Finding conflicting info on board.

One of my favorite movies is "Highlander". And of course that always has me thinking long term.
I don't think any sword could last much more than a duel or 2 if there was heavy blade on blade contact. Edge to edge, forget it. I most certainly could be wrong, but would like to see proof.

That's why I love this board, so many people with detailed knowledge. It was called that in their paper catalog (remember those!) but yeah you seem to be correct.

Not a sword but certainly in my "collection"....... 2014 Chevrolet Camaro. Ordered and tracked through build process. I named her "Christine". - LS3 6.2L V-8 - 6 speed TR6060 manual trans Driven for 2 years, make sure all was well. Then added: - ARH 1 7/8 headers - CAI cold air induction - Ported Throttle body - High flow catalytic converters - Custom computer reprogram and tune via Slowhawk Performance - ~475 rear wheel horsepower

Looking forward to part two! I am noticing the acute absence of a Nihonto in here. You were too fast! I saved my favorites for last 3.

8. Moro Sword: This is from CAS Iberia years ago and I love the flamberge blade. Of of my favorites. 9. Hand and a Half Sword: Another CAS Iberia sword, love this one. 10. Nihonto Katana: Kanemasa Katana with Wally Hostetter fittings. Newest addition and of course my favorite.

A long time ago I fell in love with swords and being young and broker, got what I could. After getting out of College and working a while, I got some pieces I liked. Then I sort of stopped. As of late I am getting more interested again. Here are my swords. (swords that have been sold have been removed) 7. Conan Atlantean Sword: from Marto, this thing is wonderful but weighs like 35 pounds. More in part 2.

Any plans for use? Or is it a safe queen? No cutting or anything, but I plan to display it in my den.

... I feel like I need Shadowhowler's 'Mother of God' avatar pic here now. Phew. Normally I like a distinct hamon, but there's something to be said for those lines. Thanks for the pictures! Not sure if that's good or bad....... Agree, I love hamons with some motion, but this is so clean and I did not have to sell my Camaro to buy it

It has arrived!!! First off, thanks to Matthew Jensen for working with me. I must have had him send me 100 pictures of various blades to look over. He was prompt, detailed, and great to work with. Shipping was fast and the sword was secured in a way that it could have been dragged from Minnesota to Massachusetts by horse and arrived in fine condition. Recently oiled and a nice sword bag was a added touch. Thanks! This is an Edo Period Nihonto Sword. Signed Kanemasa. I will have to take better pictures, I am a bit excited right now. This sword has some HEFT and it's super solid. The Wally Hostetter fittings are wonderful. The blade is thick and hefty, I love it. The hamon lovers may not like it too much, it's just mostly straight, but I love it. What a nice piece. Very happy and hoping this does not become a habit........ Attachments:

... aaand Poul Anderson. (Big Fan) "Leonora Christine spent most of a year getting within 1 percent of light velocity. The time aboard was about the same, because the value of tau only began to drop sharply when she was quite near c. During that initial period, she covered half a light-year of space, approximately five trillion kilometers. Thereafter the decrease became constantly more swift. Aided by the higher acceleration now possible, she required somewhat under 2 more years, in her own measure, to get about ten light-years from Earth. That was where she met her grief."
