Why does the blade not fit? Because of the length?

The Valiant Armoury Hjalmarr Viking Sword "Special Edition Collection" Just got a chance to post some pics. I purchased two VA Viking swords from KOA, but only posting the Hjalmarr Sword for now. I like the sword. Its a nice piece. I think VA did a good job for a mid level configuration. Stats form VA: This Viking Sword has an Overall Length of 36 3/4 inches The Sword Blade Length is 33 inches - but the model I have measures 30.5 inches Sword Handle Length: 3 3/4" Sword Blade Material: Hand Forged 1060 High Carbon Spring Steel Sword Blade Width at Guard: 2 3/8" Sword Weight 2 lbs. 15oz. Sword Center of Gravity 5 3/4 "

I am no HEMA expert what so ever but I like that Marseille over the Malatesta. Reminds me of the mercenary sword. More of a thruster. I think both swords are later Medievil swords. Nice - it will be hard for you to choose. It would be for me.

I received my two Viking era swords and I am happy for the most part. I will post pics etc later today but I do like them. I only have a Hanwei/Tinker and a Irish Viking era sword to compare them to. I do think the scabbard, grip, pommel, and belt, are def a step above to the point now I want to send in my Tinker and Irish to someone and get reworked and get nice scabbards for them! I cant comment on the VA blades however. I only have mid level inexpensive swords, but the blades on the VA seem nice and came very sharp. Maybe after I post some pics you guys can point some things out.
The two VA swords, are the nicest Viking era swords I have to date. I will get an Albion Jarl and Gaddhjalt one of these days but the are $$$. And don't get me wrong from what I read they are worth it, but its a lot of money.
I did just buy a DSA Viking 5 lobe from SBG store, so I will have something I think similar to compare to that is semi nice and $$.

Which two did you purchase? Valiant Armoury is generally considered to sell great overall packages when it comes to swords. The leather work is outstanding. I've heard the blades themselves are basic and functional, far above Windlass in quality, but match Hanwei. They're a great deal if you want a sword and scabbard. I think you did well.
