Can't say that I have, or am likely to.
That hookah I ordered last night, skipping the expensive shipping in favor of free, is scheduled to deliver tomorrow. Works for me.

Got the Boosey in today. Seems pretty solid, gonna try it out tomorrow. Only part giving me concern is the heat management unit...thing. Feels like flimsy cast pot metal, but we'll see if it does the trick. I figure if the plastic chimney on the afzal Hookah 2 Go didn't melt, this one shouldn't, either.

What is the weirdest thing that you smoked? For me it was an herbal cigarette. I believe these as they were made by my former employer at the time that I worked for them or they were trying to get the contract for them. amishshop.com/hazel-doc/flavsmkecstacy.htmThey smelled horrible, worse when smoked but actually tasted great. News reports have come out that kids were smoking them to get high. I did not get high from smoking them, but then again, I never got high from smoking weed more that thirty years ago. Then again, none of my former co-workers there who tried them got high either. Everyone who was not smoking them got highly offended by the stench though.

Myself, I'm not a "smoker" per se. Never touched cigarettes of any variety, though many people I know will put away packs a day. Never tried marijuana, or anything else currently restricted. Hookah, the boring tobacco kind, is my only experience outside of a quick puff of my father's pipe as a very young child. Didn't see the appeal then, never felt the need to seek it out since. I only got into hookah because She enjoys it from time to time, and I just want to give Her a better experience without having to pay the exorbitant costs of going to a lounge. One of our members may have more to contribute, though.

Anybody here partake? I'm not generally one for tobacco use, but years before we ever met, one of my girlfriend's long-ago friends introduced her to smoking hookah, and she'd kept it for years as an occasional treat. We've gone a handful of times to a local hookah lounge, which we like the atmosphere of quite a lot, but it's been closed since the start of the pandemic. She's been though a lot lately, stressing over this and that, and saying, often, how much she just wants to chill with a hookah and get the edge off for a bit. So, for her birthday this year, I bought her one of her very own, and have done a little reading on how to properly prepare and maintain a hookah. Unfortunately, the starter kit, tobacco, and coals I originally ordered a week prior to her birthday didn't ship out in time, so the day after, we went to a local place and picked one out now. Luckily, they also carried her favorite flavor, so I bought that, too. We're currently sitting at our second at-home session, enjoying some pizza and a drink, with the first hookah we bought, since it finally showed up today. Unfortunately, I can't get the pictures small enough and my Photobucket account doesn't allow sharing, so hopefully the links work: Edit: Nope, but I downloaded the crappy tiny pictures so here goes. Tonight: Last week: I'm smoking hookah rare, But the hookah smoking system attracts me more to stay away from other addictive things. Hookah smoking contains a filtration system to reduce the harshness and chemicals that exist in the smoke. The concept of hookah defines the filtered smoking device. It means, When you pull a smoke by hookah pipe, smoke passes through the hookah water base. The water reduces all chemicals from the smoke before inhaling by a smoker. So, the question is, how does water consume the harsh? Or if it's working right then, why it doesn't mix up with the aroma of the flavors.

From all the health messages that manufacturers have to say, water actually absorbs the biggest chemicals...which are then inhaled when "puffing" (is that a word ?). As it gets cold, it also gets easier to inhale deeper.
Moreover, as it is used longer than a cigarette, the amount of nicotine, tar, carbon monoxide that are consumed gets higher.
"Healthier" alternatives might be vaping and heated tobacco (combustion of the product seems to be the biggest factor of toxicity rather than the product itself).
