Eh, I may look at that Arex. It's always good to know of other things. If I had that kind of money, I have always lusted after the Magnum Research "Baby Eagle" version of the Jericho. The polymer framed semi-compact version in 9mm would be serious Cowboy Bebop time The Star has a parts supply problem - none since the company is out of business and they have a bad reputation for breaking firing pins. Now the one I did find since I last posted is the Taurus TH9c. Price is reasonable ($300 real world) and meets the list above except poly vs steel (minor point in 9mm) and throws in a decocker position on the safety as a big plus. Of course first I gotta get L.Driggers to stop offering me too good to be true prices on swords so I can save money for it sbg-sword-forum.forums.net/post/764735/thread

I actually bought two for 450 right after I got back to the States in May last year... But I sold em before even shooting them after I learned of they issues. When/if that is resolved to my satisfaction I will almost certainly get one or two again because with it's features, capacity, grip comfort... It's the best concealed carry weapon on the market IMO. If it's problem free. You may have been better off getting rid of those two, because I can personally attest to my own (bought in December with 700 rounds through it) not having any of the reported problems at all. Not even the aesthetic complaint about the backs of the magazines getting scratched up! I do a lot of dry-firing with it, so in “trigger pulls” I’m easily over a 1,000 with no trigger return spring issues in the least. I still maintain that the other gun manufacturers have a LOT of catching up to do so they can produce an equivalent handgun to compete with the P365. With the bugs worked out, the P365 completely dominates the subcompact market! I am curious about Mossberg’s new subcompact release, for its very reasonable price, and so far shining reviews. www.mossberg.com/category/series/mc1sc/ Also the new Steyr looks sooooo good: The Mossy suffers from the same ol' "6 rnd. curse" as Glock, and the nice looking Steyr will have be great enough to overcome Sigs acquiring the military market (and thus all offshoots tied into law enforcement & civilian circles). In short, your probably dead right that the P365 will completely (just how complete is the only question) dominate the subcompact market. Twelve rounds in that size category is DEATH to the competition. Just who is gonna pick a 7 rnd. (with extension) pistol instead of a 12 rounder?

LOL Anyways I’ve heard the Jericho’s are pretty reliable, but for some reason they’re one of those “not trendy at the moment” gun’s. It IS hard to buy new firearms when there’s so many weapons on here that are sharp, and shiny!!

howler- I am wicked disappointed in Glock (yet again) for these “new” releases, after the Gen 5’s were a welcome and much needed improvement. They had the chance to destroy Sig’s hold on the subcompact arena by making a new 10rnd S.C to rival the P365. Instead they keep pumping out these (instead of NEW designs) stupid mix & match guns made up of models that already exist!! I’d love to see something totally and completely new from Glock, like a Glock 1911, or a Glock Shotgun! I mean look at Ruger, and Smith & Wesson’s successes with revolvers, striker fired guns, rifles/shotguns, and 1911’s. More than that though, I wanted to see the P365 motivate companies like H&K, S&W, Ruger, Glock (etc) to make their OWN subcompact creations to challenge Sig. Then in turn it would push Sig to create better designs. I think THAT would be a great cycle for gun manufacturers to follow. Someone makes a revolutionary new design, and it pushes the other guys to match or surpass it!

As the P365 has only been out a year or so and many people (like you and I) are only now buying (or considering to purchase) the pistol due to waiting through the "teething period", I think the rest of the industry is on the drawing boards even as we speak. They would simply HAVE to be.

Sometimes I can’t even feel it on my belt, and there’s absolutely zero printing! It’s also not a “snappy” subcompact like some others in that category. I can totally understand why you are still waiting to buy one, but I got mine at too good a price to turn down. If you do get one, I’ll share my super secret source that has the lowest price for 12rnd mags anywhere on the interwebs 😎 I hope you’re right about the rest of gun manufacturers buckling down and devising some direct competition to the P365. Maybe someone could outdo Sig’s design. Then we can sit back and watch The War of the Subcompacts! LOL

Competition may not make a better gun than the P365, but you should generally get prices lowering, which I imagine we should be seeing on the other manufacturers slim lines with their reduced capacity. It would be pretty hard to justify buying a G43 after the P365 showed its snout, so the other manufacturers MUST follow suit and offer similar capabilities...or lower prices. That 12rnder is a must purchase, and $40ish is pretty stiff, so I'll definitely bend your ear when the time comes.

Yeah $499 seems to be the current asking price, but 7-8 months ago Local Gun Stores were asking $550+ So ironically all the bad press and negative reviews forced Sig to not only ensure that the problems were fixed, but prices dropped as sales tapered off. 12 months after its release (and with the kinks worked out) it’s technically the same price as a Glock 26, and only $50 more than a Glock 43! Definitely let me know if you do pick up a P365. The place I bought them from is asking $34.99 with a measly $3.85 shipping charge. There is no better deal online! Trust me, I looked everywhere before I even bought my P365.

Wish it were offered with the other two magazines, but then again I wish for a lot of things. It should also be noted in the $500 price that the Sig does include tritium night sights as standard.

The 365, even for all its faults, is the best selling single handgun model last year. Even with all the bad press.
Imagine if word gets out that they've pretty much fixed everything.
And yeah that Steyr is seeeeexy. So is the Laugo Alien.

So, since we have a convocation of Sig fans here, how does the SP2022 fit in here? I as because it can be found a good $100 cheaper and it's still about the size of a Glock 19 (IOW, compact enough for me). Anyone here used this or should I start a separate thread?

That looks like a great gun, just in a different size class. Get both.

The FN 509’s magazines are $45-$50 depending on where you look, but I was able to get mine w/Night Sights and 3 magazines, so I didn’t really HAVE to buy anymore. Or at least not currently. I have tried several different brands of N.S’s over the years: TruGlo, Trijicon, and Meprolight. But these XRay 3-dot sights are super bright night AND day, which some night sights don’t do. They’re even better than the Siglite N.S’s which is rather ironic!

So let’s just hope that the rush can be held off until one shows up at your gun store 😉 I always liked Steyr because it had a ridiculously low bore axis, and even the .40cal model I had (M40-A1) wasn’t even close to as snappy as other brands chambered in .40! So yeah the new Steyr is a great improvement on an already great design. I freakin LOVE the way that Laugo Alien looks, like a futuristic gun from Demolition Man or Judge Dredd. Yes both movies bombed in theatres, but Stallone swears it was because of his co-stars, not him! LOL Only problem with the Laugo is the price 😳

No, no, no, you don’t have to start a different thread. I haven’t personally owned a P2022, but I have heard mixed reviews on it. Some people loved it, because it’s still a Sig, but at an affordable price. The negative reviews were, I’m sure, by people who can afford the big price tag Sig Sauer models. Their complaints were about the trigger, and a couple of other “non-issues,” but I say get one in your hand and see how it feels. Go to a local gun store and check out the sights, trigger pull, and whatever other feature really interests YOU! If you have somewhere near you that rents out handguns, than absolutely go and shoot the crap out of one. Then you’ll know for certain if it’s right for you 😁

When I took the Active Shooter Response course at the Sig Academy I didn’t have an AR at the time, and they said no to me using my AK, so they let me use a Sig516 Patrol (seeing as the course was $500 and it was a “floor model”) for the Team Hallway & Room Clearing exercises, but for the solitary drllls they let me use my Mossberg 590A1, which was cool for Slicing The Pie! Other than that I’ve been looking at an M400 Enhanced, or maybe the new M400 Tread that they just released. So many firearms and Swords, but not enough $$$ for both 😡 😉

They should have given you their 556r... It uses 7.62x39 and takes AK mags... And is the best "AK" I've ever shot. I wish I still had mine.
I just picked up 3 15 Rd Fnx-45 mags, I shoulda checked with you to see if your secret source was cheeper. ;-)
