Finally picked this up at my FFL last night. 350 rounds of Winchester white box (124gr NATO) and 50 rounds of Hornady Critical Duty 115gr JHP through it at the range today. Zero malfunctions, and no primer drag whatsoever. No scratches on the magazine, and none of the other complaints people have been whining about online. After another 100-200 rounds I’ll write something up if anyone’s interested.

I can't imagine that wee beastie in my sasquatch paws but then again I've been awed before. Ive heard very good things about it's size, simplicity but mixed reviews on reliability (if youre putting 50k rounds through it...😉). Though its not a katana, I would like to hear more 😁

Being 6’1 I have always shared the “gorilla paws” problem, which is why I always stuck with full sized guns. Sig had a sponsored event in Maine (like 15 mins over the border from me) and I got to fire this thing before I even considered buying it. It actually fits, tip to tail, from my wrist-halfway up my fingers, that’s how small it is. With the 12 round magazines I can almost get a full grip on it. My pinky sits half on, half off. It’s super easy to shoot and control, not snappy at all like most people complain about subcompacts. When I eventually do sneak across the border I’ll come by and we’ll hit up the gun range near you 😉

Nice. SIG is always nice though I have found myself really happy with my recent Taurus PT-92. Not especially compact but the sight radius from a 5" barrel is helpful

Well when this first came out there were some SERIOUS issues with the 1st, 2nd, and half of their 3rd production “batch.” I waited so long just so that when I finally picked one up, all the kinks would be worked out. It really is optimized for concealed carry though. It easily disappears under even just a t-shirt! I’ve heard good things about the PT-92, but that’s only natural seeing the gun it’s modeled after. 😁 Glad to see you’re enjoying it!

Sweet pick up!
One day I will move to a free state and be able to buy the guns I want.
One day......

Thanks brother. That’s why I moved the frig out of Assachusetts! The gun laws were atrocious, and I had a better chance of getting on a local P.D up north. First thing I did when I moved out of MA was buy an AR with like 10-30rnd mags. Just because I could! LOL

SIGs are a blissful experience. Regardless of model... that may be why I have more than a couple 🤔

Hi Verity, I totally agree! I’ve been putting some cash aside for a 229 in .357 Sig, and even though the price is around $800+ I think it’s definitely worth it. Maybe not as a carry gun, but a pleasure to shoot as a range gun. I’d HATE to lose an $800 gun to a police evidence locker if I had to use it in a defensive shooting. That’d suck! They make some great 1911’s too.

I like the .40 as well as the .357 Sig, but I’d never shoot either out of a “subcompact” frame, like a Glock 27 or Glock 33. Now THAT’D be a bit too snappy! Speaking of .40 I’ve also got my eye on one of the new S&W 2.0 compacts in either .40 or .45. Can’t decide, so I guess both it is then LOL I would probably get a 229 in .40 if it came down to the choice between that and 9mm. I have too many 9mm’s! I like to mix it up a little.
I am SO pissed at myself. I had the chance to get a slightly used 226 (West German make) a few years back on Gunbroker.com & I let it go to buy my PTR-91. I mean I love my PTR, but that 226 isn’t so easy to get anymore. At least since the last time I checked. I like the M11-A1’s, but so far I’ve only seen them in FDE and I’m not a huge fan of that color. I had a P220 (w/o a rail) as one of my first ever handguns 17yrs ago, and I never knew if it was of W. German make or not, but getting rid of it was such a big regret of mine. I’d like a 227 to replace it though!
XD Compact is a good choice for carry, but my wife and myself really enjoyed the P320 Carry (NOT the X-Carry). It’s close to Glock 19 size, but holds 17+1, whereas the G19 only holds 15+1. Plus you can get a P320 for $450-$500, and a Gen 5 Glock 19 is about $600. The Gen 5 is a much better option than any of the earlier generations of Glocks. The Gen 5 really doesn’t require any upgrades or add-ons.
If I could afford one of the Dan Wesson’s in .38 Super or 10mm I’d be so thrilled, but their price tag is like $1,500 and up 😕 Due to having to downsize the room my sword collection took up, and the prospect of moving, my gun collection now outnumbers my sword collection. Much to my dismay!!

Thanks for the link but I know they do. The supplier I get a L.E discount through only has the FDE model for now. I’ve been on their @ss for the past two months already, but as is I’m in line for a CZ P-01 Omega that I’ve been eagerly awaiting! Do you have any CZ’s tucked away in ye old safe?

When I got back from my 2 years in the middle east I went out looking for a Sig 365. I had been reading about them... 12 rds and smaller then my M&P Shield? Also... I'm a Sig fan boy. No one had any and all the gun shops had waiting lists for them. Then the shop on base got a bunch,I bought 2... One for me and the wife. I normally don't buy new guns BECAUSE they often have problems... I typically give it a couple years to get the kinks out... But they were sold out everywhere and I couldn't pass up the chance. Then I started reading about primer drag and multiple failures and remembered why I don't buy new guns. :-( I sold em both without even shooting them... For more then I bought em for so no loss... And figured I'd wait a bit for them to iron out the kinks. Fairly certain I will pick em up again later tho and the Sig 365 will almost certainly replace my shield as my primary carry.

I can't wait to finally get the chance to buy mine (hopefully perfect, like yours seems to be). I might have enough by the time election season in my country ends to get one and maybe try a Glock 43x to compare. But all indications are that the 365 is the perfect carry gun for me in terms of size-firepower ratio.

I thought that the Gen 5’s came stock with Ameriglo Night Sights, but it may not be ALL of them after all. I found a secret store on the Interwebs that has the 12rnd mags for $35 no joke. I bought one before Christmas, and went to get another when they come back in stock.

Gunshop on base has a few Sig p365's for only $459... Tempting. Very tempting. That’s an awesome price, but if you can, before you buy one (or 2) try to make sure the “made on date” is at least December of this year. Anytime before that and I can’t vouch for it. Mine has a production date of 12/8 if that helps any, and I’ve got 600 rounds through it with the casings to show no primer issues. I kept the last 10 I shot just to be on the safe side. The trigger and spring still feel as strong as day 1, and there’s no premature wear on the internals or the backs of any of the magazines. Yeah there were some STRANGE issues with the 1st Gen models. I’d strongly recommend the 12rnd mags though if you’ve got big gorilla paws like I do. If you’re interested I can share my “secret” source of under $40 12rnd mags!

The 12 Rd mags would be a must. The primer drag issue bugs me cuz I've never seen it on any of my guns before. I'll make sure to check the manufacturer date before grabbing one... Or 2. ;-)

My friend's 43 also has striker drag, to the point that we've gotten into the habit of keeping the last ten shells we fire to see if it worsens over time. I think the problem with the early 365 is excessive drag alongside bad striker batches, that together led to breakages.
