So gorgeous, I can't see enough of that castir! I hope these won't be too limited as I'd really love to pick one up, but am in the middle of a move right now so money won't allow it for a while. But it's definitely the one design that really stands out to me

Hey, thanks! Good luck with the moving. I think the Castir won't be sold within this month since the website itself isn't quite done and the designs that are already finished and fixed aren't even sold yet.

Pretty sure the intent is for sbg to create a separate fantasy site that will have all these designs for sale, but it's a bit delayed

On which website will we be able to buy these swords? The official SBG Store and the dedicated Legendary-swords.com website. Eventually.

I hope it is not too out of line to say that the 2 legendary swords black/white look quite a bit like SLO's. To me they look really uncomfortable and unwieldy. Castir has a cool look to it though.

Thanks for the compliment I don't think it's out of line in any way for anyone to provide feedback, whether positive or negative, to another person's design so long as they aren't specifically made to offend. Those two legendary swords are Paul's design though. But I'm sure he wouldn't mind some feedback. ANYWAY, GOOD NEWS: There are no 'limited-edition' design to our (forumite-designed) winning swords. All will most likely be made-to-order. While this means that there will be waiting time, it also means that there won't be people who'll miss their chance at ordering one. The only confirmed truly limited designs are the ODINS OAR (Longship Armory) and brotherbanzai's current WIP Seraphim Sword.

I still need to do a full review to show the brutal awesomeness of the Dusk Wind Goad, but anybody who is into the idea of a sharp, evilly pointy beast that balances identically to my GDFB mace of the same length should consider ordering one.

SO I think some of what i'm about to say has likely already been said or hinted at.
Reasons I am not buying this stuff.
1.Money - I just don't have the money to buy all the cool stuff that the world offers me.
2. Limited style - Many sellers sell a variety of styles of sword (fantasy,Historical (various eras), HEMA/Blunts, etc. I think the fact it is mostly Fantasy you are catering to one specific demographic of a larger Sword wielding population.
3. We as buyers are limited by our style - I'm a re-enactor, I am interested in historical swords from late medieval to early modern/Early Military era. I also want to use my sword for re-enactment. So I am looking for blunts that fit those qualifications. Many people are interested in specific sets/types of swords be it sharp cutting Katanas or historical replicas of what "joe blow" carried in "insert obscure battle here". We are our own worst enemies.

The Castir is an attractive sword, though I find myself not liking the tsukamaki at all. To me, it screams "fantasy kantana" way too much in a sword that otherwise evokes a lot of influences. To me, I could see it as a sort of fantasy saber in the Eastern European style.... but I admit I am among those tired of the myth of the magical katana. But that blade shape is elegant, fantastic and practical all at once! I quite like it!
The other two swords do nothing at all for me. The hilt designs are super clunky.

Thanks for the feedback Hopefully if it's successful enough, there'll be an option to buy the Castir's bare blade so costumers can make their own bespoke hilt for it.

I've added it to my "interest:" list and it's not even a sword type I'd normally go for. Just something about the shape and proportions that catches my eye! FWIW, I quite like the hilt... it's just the wrap I'm not nuts about. In any case... it's a great design.

I think it would be awesome to have iron wood/mangkono or similar hard wood used instead of metal and that could be a single piece instead of three pieces. Alternately horn but that would likely be even more difficult to produce in any great numbers. Wrapped or not, I find the painted metal the only real fault in execution. Also, well dry "greased" and shipped in the scabbards.

If one did not like the tsukamaki, one can always remove it and add a leather handle wrap, in regards to the Castir. I love it, personally

Hey guys,
I think it'll be better if you leave any comments regarding the Castir at its respective review page.
That way, I don't have to shuffle between pages and boards just to collect feedback.
Thank you.
