Someone here really, really needs this kai gunto. A Japanese occupation Korean/Chosen colonial sword of the WWI period. I have a beat up Tsing Tao example but I guess I could start collecting more. The thing is that the sword listed would be worth around a grand if it had its scabbard. These are tiny, with blades only about 1/2" wide (but oh so cute). www.ebay.com/itm/Japanese-Army-Officers-Parade-Sword-Fine-Condition-WWII-No-Reserve/292829419444Jan is selling off swords from the Richard Bezdek collection. I don't know if this is one of his but Jan also has a very nice 1833 dragoon listed as well (and others). The colonial kai gunto at $125 is a steal. I don't think he knows what it really is.

A really nice piece in sad repose. A classy wallhanger now. One could wish what it was like brand new, with scabbard and likely other tools nested to it. Yummy............must...................not...................clicky on bid. www.ebay.com/itm/GOOD-QUALITY-ANTIQUE-18TH-CENTURY-BLUE-GILT-HUNTING-SWORD-HANGAR-GREEN-MAN/372586278691An aside, I was messaged by a seller recently and sent me an offer on one of these postings. Oh so tempting and a pleasant unexpected discussion ensued. Perhaps we'll see a new member. Dang, another piece he has is even more tempting but I really need to pay my bills. Schwinging stuff abounds................egad..save this soul. a nicer der GruenerMensch would be hard to find.

Dangit Glen. I've been so good about staying off of eBay! That hunting sword and Pinos shashka are two super nice pieces. The hunting sword would look killer over my fireplace.
