I told that Donnie guy that I didn't agree with his review as most of it was either misinformed or lacking information. So I told him I would post a respectful counter review. I can't quote him, because he blocked me, but it was along the lines of "I don't want to hear what you have to say, I'm blocking you so nobody can hear it."

I just got blocked for "possibly sharing information that might prove [un named] wrong" Man... That's dirty. "I'm not wrong, you're just blocked" Those are paraphrases, btw. Getting blocked from there is quite an achievement given what I have read that is posted there by some people. It was by a guy on the page. Not blocked from the page its self. To be an admin for a day... We can all dream, right?

So if someone starts a thread on the FB Page, they can block people from posting in it?

I came, I saw, and I un-joined. Nothing particularly valuable in it for me. I prefer the forums by a long shot

Apparently. The whole thread dissappeared.

I guess what I'm whining about is that Donnie, among others, are kind of ruining what SBG is supposed to stand for. Not that I'm some representative for us or think I'm better than anyone, but the whole purpose (to my knowledge) is to share accurate information with new members and to analyze new products to aid in the distribution of said information. Some people, here and on Facebook, are just trying to show off and spreading misinformation for personal gain. What's even worse, is the language and attitude they add to it. Again, not that I am the almighty guru of what we are all about, but that's just not SBG. At least not in my opinion.

He blocked you from the thread and probably his FB page. I found the thread, the man seems a bit....sensitive about some things. Apparently he was banned from here for not wanting to be wrong as well. He seems a decent fellow but he has a very high pride setting.

I agree, but his pride is starting to get in the way of what we stand for. And, again, not just him. He's just the best example. I think he got banned for some colorful words that he said to Josh that we don't tolerate here.

I'm staying on, some posts are worth it. For example, Wes put up an Atrim sword that he fixed up. That was nice to see.

So if someone starts a thread on the FB Page, they can block people from posting in it? If someone blocks you on Facebook... you can't see any posts made by them. So yes... if a guy started a thread on facebook, and then blocked you, you would not see their thread. Is funny... in UBC's facebook page someone blocked me... not sure why, I don't remember anything about the person but I must have offended them at some point. (I know what you thinking, hard to believe, me, the soul of discretion.) Since I'm an admin on the UBC page, I still see that person's posts tho... however they appear black and I can't click on his name to go to his profile. Funny.

I've never been in Facebook so I don't know how discussions in there go. There is not that much factual research been done on production swords by independent parties. I know plenty of us have done lots of reviews, I'm first to say that I'm biased on some swords. I know because I personally liked them I probably gave them more praise than they really deserved. I started thinking I'm not neutral enough to do reviews, and I will not do them anymore for a while at least. For same reason I try to limit the production sword discussion I take part of. I kinda feel I don't want to say all the things I really feel because that will result in lot of twisted panties.

I liked the old days on Msn chat rooms where you could whack or get whacked with hammers. I did a bit of both. Lol

I'm sorry brother. I'm staying outta that caca between you and Dee. Personally, if this is what's it's come to and the FB page represents this forum it needs to be cleaned up or shut down. I must say that you two are providing me with a butt load of entertainment tonight. It's rare for me to see a pissing contest of that scale. :)
