HEY EVERYONE!! I've been collecting swords for a while but I'm NEW to forums so bare with me I just bought the Ancient Iron Warrior from their entry line and i decided its DEFINITELY worthy of a "blog post/review" lol Its a really cool sword man, they've apparently revamped their lines & I'm SO impressed with the quality. Its one of their mid grade swords...... blue wrap on white same w/ a groove 28" blade - SO BAD ASS!!!!!I learned to cut from a friend of mine that studies Shinkendo, as I'm informally studying but i can wield a blade pretty well for my size & I LOVE the weight and balance of this sword - It cut through 40 Tatami's like butter this weekend - No problem with the edge at all! I'll WITHOUT A DOUBT be purchasing another sword from this company!!! They were easy to work with, everything was seriously SMOOTH SAILING & I wanted to get the word out since we all know that can be hard to come by these days... THANKS GUYS!!!!

Please see the previous threads on this company, including the one with their using two accounts to promote their swords on this site. I would also question their claim of the famous smith David Goldburg of Gold Mountain Forge www.goldmountainforge.com/store.html being their Master smith working with them. Even if their swords are of decent quality, though from what I have seen they are overpriced for the quality they offer, I still would not buy from this company as I do not see them as honest and trustworthy. from the last thread about this company forum.sword-buyers-guide.com/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=15757&p=194543

I will add, if you already have a Skyjiro, and your happy with it and it's performance then good. I am glad for you.
I posted the above comment more for others who might be looking for a new sword rather than a happy customer.

Uhmmm...I'm at a lost for words. Just going to cross my finger and hope that this is not going to be another thread on this. At most, this could be amusing

Sorry... Despite the possibility that you may just be an ordinary NON-SKYJIRO RELATED INDIVIDUAL, and you ARE happy with your sword AND it DID cut like butter through 40 :!: tatami mats (money that would be better spent on getting a better sword), I simply cannot grasp the notion that Skyjiro swords are all that great. - They don't look all that good from pictures - They seem overpriced compared to most stuff discussed over here all year long - Every single good thing we have heard has not been backed up a single time with anything palpable Heck, those guys put so much effort in spinning their marketing claims, why not just put all that effort in buying a really good blade and copying it? Maybe "tweak" a video so it looks like their swords can cut through an engine block? I do know they are friendly salesmen, at least on inquiries, but the track record and exaggerated claims make it hard for most people that already own a sword (and know SOMETHING about swords) to give them a try... Anyways, I would love to see the blade (if you think blue ito on white same looks nice, just try blue ito on black same ), and also to hear what you spent for it. Maybe you'd be surprised at what else you could have had for a little more cash. LastGodslayer out.

What gave it away? The rainbow array of fruit flavors? Methinks this crapolla looks like the OP has been eating this for breakfast...

Then there is this - ": TJ Folded Ancient Iron with Double Imitation Hamon (1000 layers)" "Yaki : TJ Secret Through Hardening Technique" "Blade Polish : TJ Mirror Polish with Japanese Water Stones" Now personally I like my swords to be made of steel  Mathematically you should end up with 1024 layers, what happened to 24 of them ? "Secret" - "Double Imitation Hamon" - so two passes of a wire brush ?

I think they hire these people to write that OP Anyway, even if the OP is given the best benefit of the doubt (assuming that he's not: a New member, 1 post, threw up color and font size everywhere, collecting sword for a while but refer to the ito as "blue wrap" and bo-hi as "groove"*, ALL CAPS), this still seems like another Skyjiro ad that will bring back Obama and Stalin....or some ridiculously named account. I mean common....at least put some effort into trying to fool people and keep it realistic here. Best case scenario: He's areal new person with a mild case of Skyjiro-fever... but that's hard to believe * I know that groove is technically what a bo-hi is, but if you've been collecting japanese swords for awhile, you tend to use the right term ** to aussie: that's the secret. They defied math and removed 24 layers making an ultra secret blade-making technique. Soooo....who wants to play a game of guessing how long this thread will last?

Come on folks, lets not jump to conclusions on the identity or intent of the OP. I was the first to respond to this thread, and while skeptical I did not make any accusations.
I know we are all a bit on edge over Skyjiro, but someone might legitimately like a sword from them. I do think we need to give the poster the benefit of the doubt. So please frame your doubt politely. Sure say your skeptical of their claim, ask for pictures etc, but lets not mock and just assume this is another Skyjiro marketing scheme.
OP, if you are a real customer who is happy with the product, (please see the threads I linked above to understand why folks here are jumping to believing this another Skyjiro marketing scheme) don't think poorly of us, we are usually a good group and pretty nice with newbies here.
Sorry your first post hit a sore spot, but welcome to SBG. Please tell us more about yourself and the swords you collect. If you want post up some pictures of your Skyjiro sword and let us knwo more about it, or if you want this threads drama to pass by, PM a mod and have this thread closed.
Again welcome to SBG, I hope you enjoy the forum and contribute more.

innef - you're just too nice sometimes Someone already reported the thread so I can't. But seriously- this isn't even moat-worthy. This ought to just be deleted. And that's me being polite. You should have seen the last post I decided to delete.

No offence to the OP.
Regarding Skyjiro, seriously how hard is it for them to apologize for their immaturity and I'm pretty sure most if not all of us would forgive them and move on. SBG is a very welcoming place imo and as long as they behave like most of the respected manufacturers here then I personally have no problem. As it stands right now, it doesn't look like they care or want to be a part of this community.

Personally, I didn't get past the "bare with me" part... a sexual reference from the "girl" OP sounds like a straight up marketing-speak invitation to get nekked with her and your sword... like they use the chicks with big knockers in the beer commercials... you know, as if putting on your beer goggles will actually help you get beautiful women to fall all over you
Been there. Seen that. Not interested. Smells Like Teen Spirit to me...
It should be "bear with me" BTW.

LOL, so Skyjiro will keep having SBG as top results when people google their name? Already due to their previous threads SBG comes up in the top. Seems like a really horrible way to get PR. You would think they would learn.
