This post was about a yes or no to zt blades. Mine is a definite yes and I gave my review. Have you wielded ZT blades ever? I highly doubt it. What is the point of sharing love for a sword if it's all ridiculed? Yes, the Apokatana is a hefty sword and it's a solid statement for the weight of the product. "The best sword in the world kinda way??" What the hell is that all about? Jeez, pull the stick outta your ass. It's either jealousy or hatred you harbor. Respect, man. It's plain and simple. Don't be a douche bag.

Yeah I'm with weapons source I've own alot of blades over the last 15 years at one point almost a thousand swords and knives from Albion to cold steel generation 2 valiant armory zombie tools tons of others as well as over 30 custom swords and 40 custom knives and zombie tools in the top 3 brands for most durable edge retention price which they could charge way more and overall feel these blades are made to be used the balance is amazing and just my personal opinion but don't knock another members blade preferences especially if uve never handled the product urself it's distasteful in a forum of such great collectors and sword conesuirs :-)

Brother... I do appreciate your encouraging people to handle a weapon before talking about it... I'm a big proponent of that. That is why I buy/sell/trade so many swords... so I can get my hands on as many as possible. That said... pictured above may be the biggest run-on sentence I have EVER encountered. It's impressive, but a small pause to add punctuation will help others read and absorb your very worthwhile point.

More then a few people post from their phones... I only recently (8 months ago) got a smartphone with the ability to use the internet. That puts me quite behind the curve I suppose. However I still don't understand why people would want to use phone to log on to forums, facebook and the like. The screen is tiny, typing is a pain... aside from getting in touch with family there is little I am in such a hurry to do that I can't wait till I'm home with my PC to do it. Now... "Get off my lawn!"

Android 'swiping' keyboard, I just so love it. (Or even Android dictate, were voice is analyzed and transformed into text like col. Adama in the original Battlestar Galactica)

I've got a Android phone with the swiping keyboard... still a pain in the but. I'll use it when I HAVE too, but much rather use a regular keyboard for stuff that is not super urgent. As much as I love you guys, forum biz is never that urgent that I need to do it on my phone.

I have only owned and handled one ZT sword and it was their wolf viking model. Celtic, migration, Viking and early medieval swords are my main area of interest.
It was made well and very solid. At the end of the day, it was just not for me. I am not comparing it to period viking swords but just as a modern sword. I found it too heavy (alright for slow zombies who have no weapons to fight back with) and the pommel edges very sharp. For me, it was not something I liked enough to keep and passed it on. I think the ZT hype and positive comments sparked an interest in trying out one of their creations. I do not regret buying it and I think some folks will be really pleased with the sword.
So - my experience was not a negative one but sort of one of those follow the pack buys. It would make a good camping tool but not what I would consider a good fighting weapon. I understand the cost of making swords in the US and it is a love of what you do more than a serious profit margin but at over 500 dollars, I personally think there are better options. It does have the cool factor and to be fair, I have not handled their other models, so - my observations is just for the ZT Viking Wolf.

you should probably email them about those issues they update the blades and would probably like to know what someone who actually owns other blades like it thinks of it.

It's interesting you say that because the wolf sword is the lightest ZT weapon I have handled, so you can imagine how the others are. I think they are making some new blades that are thinner and more lightweight. I have no problem with heavy swords, but I see what you are saying, and it really feels like it's own type of sword rather than a viking sword. I would even say it handles more like a heavy jian/gim than a viking sword. I still really like this sword more than the rest of their line up. I'm not a fan of the whole zombie thing, but I like dark looking and functional fantasy swords. I was thinking of doing a review of it soon.

I love ZT and will continue to be a customer the rest of my life, as long as they are in business. Own more than a dozen and to this day have 7 blades on order coming my way. Soon after May, I'll be ordering a dozen more. For all the naysayers... They do not know what they are missing and have no idea what they are talking about. These are some of the best blades money can buy and it is without a doubt that everyone should atleast own one zt blade. The crew continues to impress and create so many fine, quality instruments of death. I am proud to have this many and have a grip coming to me. ZT FOR LIFE! www.facebook.com/ZtForLife

I was visiting Razor last week and got to handle his ZT (I forgot what model it was). I was expecting a crow bar but was pleasantly surprised at how balance and nimble it was. Don't judge a book by its cover.

It was the D-Captain... the one i want most. I liked it off the bat, and I too handled and cut with Razor's... and that is what sold me on it.
