Yeah, it seems like a lot of handle for a small blade...I would really like to see if the boyz could pull off some sort of saber...with a hand guard.

Hey guys. Here is a pic of my Reaper, one of my most beloved blades. I basically own the entire line up of their blades. If anyone has any questions. I'd love to talk ZT! Attachments:

I have a 'Deuce' from ZT. It's a solid, well-made blade that stands up to a lot of hard use, not a wall hanger. I've used it to limb trees, chop firewood, etc. and it's durable. It would do pretty well on zombies. As to the splatter pattern on the blade, I think it's cool and pretty unique to their post-apocalypse looking, but I see that a lot of their current blades don't have the spatter look. Some reviewers have said their blades are not very sharp, but I disagree. When I got mine i went out and took a swing at a chunk of heavy particle board and the blade went in about seven inches. With a little practice, I can now get in closer to nine, but people pick it up and say its not very sharp - they're not counting on the fact that you're swinging 2-3 pounds of balanced steel. The weight and balance do a lot of the work, so a good sword doesn't need to be razor sharp, just sharp. I think the Vakra or Bone machete would be a great sword as back up to your apocalypse firearm.

I hemmed and hawed for a while, but recently placed an order for the Mack Daddy-O (I'll have to come up for another name for it before it gets here). I was tossing around a couple of options; but that was really the first one that caught my attention...and I didn't want to order more than one kind until a) I have one in hand, and b) I get a look at the new releases. Hopefully, with their recent addition of a few people, they'll be able to cut the lead time a bit.

Nice choice, I'm wondering if the Mack Daddy-O has the same handling as a Da Dao, as that that would lead to an easy to handle blade.

Impressive collection! Loving the Mack Daddy O and Apokatana. (Would love to see a Hellion and Vakrah next to these though. )

It does not handle like a da dao, the handle is too long and the balance is very different than what a da dao should be. That being said it is still and impressive weapon. To me it felt more like an axe or pole arm rather than a sword or da dao.

I'm in love with the Apokatana & the Zakasushi blades. How are these in terms of durability and blade sharpness? Looking at the videos of these blades at work seems to suggest very strong and durability like they claim, but at $700US for both, it's a bit steep. In the opinions of those familiar with ZTs products, are they worth the costs?
