I will be doing a review of the new Ryan Sword come this weekend . the addition of a non-sharp sword to my little collection completes the concept I had at the beginning for the 3 swords that i felt I would require.
I decided on the Ryan Sword because i was able to get the sword itself for a very good price, ($42.00 bucks) and then add to it the very same fittings that came with my T-10.
The real shocker to me is just how fast Ryan Swords was able to ship me my sword once I placed the order. I wish i knew the difference as to why my T-10 took a full two weeks to get here from China, and yet the Ryan Sword was here is just a few days?
The Ryan Sword came wrapped in the same type of shipping box as the T-10. I feel that must mean that they all get shipped from the same place, or that such shipping boxes are a type of standard there in China. My Bamboo Warrior did not come in the same type of shipping box, and that hints that its from a different shipping place.
again, I will be doing a review of the sword this weekend, as well as perhaps talking about the whole image that Ryan Swords has to me now that I actually have one in my hands...
Who knows, perhaps this might be of use over the next few years for people also in the market and looking around?

Hmmmmm.......I thought there was something vaguely familiar about that yellow package...... Acutally, I've purchased from a few different ebay vendors ( not Ryan swords, yet) and most have come in the same styrofoam block with the ubiquitous yellow tape. They may have this as their standardized shipping media somewhat like our USPS Flat Rate Box or the UPS and FEDEX packaging. They're all thinking over there " there goes another sword export" at the mail house. Looking forward to the review. Steve

Actually I have been wanting to say this for awhile now. I think that there are more than 3 of these "Named" stores that are all actually the same. Or as I stated before they are just fronts for a larger forge or distributor. Like Avon over here in the states. They all seem to be in the same area and ship from the same place. My package from Jacky (Hauwei) was identical to the 2 packages you guys have shown.

I would like to know if there is a common sword maker that makes swords that are shipped out to different venders?
i dont know for sure what is going on in China or how they do stuff, but I got to admit that as I looked at the new Ryan Sword in the package, and as i opened it up, and when I first looked at the sword, I had the feeling that "Its from the same forge as the T-10"
I dont know if thats true, but thats what I was thinking when i noted things and how the quality was the same.

.....
The Ryan (note 2nd word use this time) is working out fine, but it's time to look ahead and start kicking around ideas for the next sword for the rack.
I got some good feelings about what im hearing about that very bendy sword of (I think?) a steel called 9260. I will have to see what is out there in the market in my price range?
Im also now again looking at getting a SBG T10....it might be worth a 2nd attempt to get , if I can match my free cash to the 2 short days every 6 months it goes on sale...LOL

yes, a lot of people have had a bad past with ebay...
I have always found it to be a very good place to shop myself. I stick to venders that show good dealings with people.
I have also had good luck so far with CraigsList... i got a 3-burner forge off of ebay many years ago ...I might have been just lucky

Hello again. 9260 is a pretty good steel when treated well. The TH ones shown at Huawei look to be a pretty good value. A couple of guys on here have ordered one, and there are a few threads on them in the Japanese swords section.
Cheness is the company that really kicked 9260 into the forefront. Their TH 9260 blades are often said to be ultra-tough, but cost about twice what Huawei wants for one of theirs.
