Hey Morgan - always pleased to share some ideas - unfortunately a big proportion of mine are usually bad…. Hahahahahaha

I'll admit that the dragon wall hanger has really got me wanting now too.

I don’t have much to tell right now except that I’m pretty much committed to having Chris’s Atlantean finished by the end of the month - deadlines do focus ones attention - so there will be photos of progress showing up right here in the next week and a half. Nuff said - less talk - more hustle!!!

I'll admit that the dragon wall hanger has really got me wanting now too. Two Chinese water dragons climbing your wall could hold a LOT of swords !

Very good day at the foundry yesterday! Nothing particularly photogenic yet, just lots of grey and yellow dust… but its definitely moving along! Should have something worth looking at for you soon.

Next step is assembling the furniture to the blade - and with this beast thats a job of work all by itself - langettes and all… So if I can get in to the foundry tomorrow thats what I’m going to do (and of course, take some pics of it for you)
John, Those pictures look *great*! The blade looks awesome. :-) We're looking forward to pictures of the furniture. Thank you for the info about what's going on! --Edward

… So if I can get in to the foundry tomorrow thats what I’m going to do...
so what that was about is the foundry is officially closed on Fridays, but there’s usually somebody there working on something and I can get in to work on my stuff. But not today - nobody there... and since I don’t personally have some of the necessary tools that the foundry has and that they allow me to use there... I’m dead in the water til Monday am. Crap. But Thank You guys, all of yas, for the inspirational words. Hell, Sean, all it gave me was blisters… (hmmm… that sounded real bad in this context… from sanding, guys, from sanding… hahahahahaha)

John 'Blisters' Greybeard; don't know if I've mentioned it to you but you might like to try some 3M 150 grit 'Frecut' paper. It's real sharp and effective, yet leaves a satin (not scratchy) finish which can easily blended out with 240 grit to a nice maintainable finish. I swear by it.

"Blisters" Greybeard… hahahahaha…. yeah, I do complain a lot, don't I? Thanks for the tip Brendan! Do you use the "gold" or the "Tri-M-Ite" - I'm seeing the two versions available - definitely going to give that a try! Got down to the foundry today and got the fittings all patina-ed up. I wanted to let them dry out over night before I put them on the blade permanently. That'll be tomorrow's job - peening guard and pommel. So here's how we're looking today:
