I believe the really old method uses a very hot (ironing-like) heat press that melts the adhesive "print" like quality onto the T-shirt. Over time the designs on the shirts tend to fragment, slough off pieces, or show cracks like an antique oil painting. The newer traditional seems to use a set "screen" that uses a sponge-like ink press with the template (print screen.) Digital prints on the other hand last a lot longer after continual washes and perhaps may only slightly fade. I favor the digital ones, since bumping, rubbing the front will not really damage the design. wish there was a graveyard of swords design lying around somewhere ... I would love that on the back, though I will purchase anything that you guys come up with. They all look great so far. I assume of the T-shirts are black, the design color will be gray or white? edit : some examples www.cultureworks.com/custom_prin ... _printing/ digital --> almost all shirts are like this nowadays --better quality and longer lasting.

Sorry about the long pause in my posts here. It's been a rough month. Ok, so I'm waiting to hear back from the online company to get a rough cost per shirt as well as the best method of printing. From what I've gathered, digital might suite our needs the best, but I asked anyway. I REALLY want to be able to have a specific Oakeshott type on the front, complete with stats and an optional design to just have "OAKESHOTT" on the front like in my previous mock up. At any rate, I'll post an update as soon as I get a reply. I'm really excited about this.

Good idea, and I'd buy at least one. Actually, it just makes it that much better whenever someone does know what it means.

At the end of the day, I'd really just like a shirt with swords on it. Still waiting to have a few questions answered from the online shirt company. For some reason they aren't wanting to do digital. If they keep that attitude then I'm sure I'll find some reason not to get the shirts through them. And welcome aboard Stefanie! Always glad to see new members.

digital printing sounds like a win-win to me I'd love to see this move forward but there's little I can do from the ship.

well, let's get some other options going, offer business to some1 else, or at least do some call-backs and bug the crap out of those you've talked to already. I'm sorry I can't help much but I can't exactly call anyone from the middle of the ocean and my internet is dreadfully slow. that's my excuse anyway. . .

How about hats, beanies? With Got Steel? on the front and Oakeshott (type of sword on the back) Just simple much cheaper. doesnt involve a screen fee we just say how many hates we need and let it get embriodered. I thought Of this because I was given the chance to do what i wanted with my friends shop for my birthday and got a hat made. well, a baseball cap and a beanie. The beanie with got steel ? on the front and oakeshott XII on the back. and the cap with got steel on the front, and have worn it everyday since. Just another idea.

Is this project still in the works, or has it been abandoned?

I dont really know Stefanie. I think things have been a little crazy for all of us. I havent been here too much and the converstaon has apparently died down. I think for the most part I was supposed to have taken charge of the specifics, but I've been so busy doing other things, I havent had the time. But If you have anything that you can contribute to the Project to get it moving along again or in a more speedily fashion please do not hesitate to do so. If you do have any Ideas and want to messege me directly ( because I'll get notices in my email, Which gets checked everyday) It might be easier.
