I know I've been spamming this thread lately, but I've got a few more pictures to post here...some of them you folks may find interesting. First, I've upgraded my kit some. Made a couple of updates to the kit before I clank around this upcoming faire. I'm now carrying Valiant Armoury's Malatesta, and have reworked the suspension and made a new swordbelt. You cannot see here, but I'm also wearing a pouch my buddy made. Next are some really unusual pictures...My girlfriend recently proposed the idea of her wearing armor to this upcoming medieval faire. So we slowly and surely put together a very loose interpretation of early 14th century armor. I'd say it turned out very nicely for a costume piece.

Nice! I'd crack a joke about wearing protection but.... Those kits are sweet. I can't wait to see yours Lion with the Breastplate added in. Nice warhammer your lady's got.

Yeah Jac, REALLY do like that buff coat. Ordered one today from the Aussies. (and the Ravenswood belts, and went to Medieval collectibles for Cuirass, gorget and weapons... and, and, and...) Trying to decide about how to display this. ( check out www.roxydisplayinc.com/index.html ;D )

The kit I’m working on so far. The sword isn't quite right but I figure as a relatively poor soldier I wouldn't be able to afford a new sword so it would be bit of an antique.

You ought to get yourself a bill, if anybody makes a decent replica (and if appropriate to the time period). Nasty weapon, and common among lower-class soldiers...

Dude, Kingrat! Nice kit sir! I kinda like the look of the footsoldier kits a bit more than the upper-class elite warriors.

A bill is defiantly next on my to buy list, though I haven't found one yet that I like or can afford. I also still need some authentic trousers and shoes.

Its from GDFB but I think they are the same as Cas's. Its quite small for the size I normaly take a medium but I ended up getting a large. Its aslo a bit of an odd fit, it is a bit tight around the arms and neck but has lots of room round the chest. Otherwise Its ok.
