Here's a picture of my current unfinished kit. I'm still lacking a breastplate, maille skirt, hourglass gauntlets, and my Malatesta (Currently using an old windlass place holder). The Harness was made by both The Mercenary's Tailor and Maxim Suprovich of Wild Armoury.

Theredlion: Very nice harness!!! Let me guess: arms & legs from Mercenary's tailor and bascinet from Wild Armoury? May I ask from which maker you plan to get the hourglass gauntlets? Congrats on a nice kit!

Thanks very much! You got it. I'm undecided as to who will be making the breastplate, but I'm probably going to go with the Mercenary's tailor. Maxim will be making me some gauntlets modeled after these. www.lorifactor.pl/rekawice/r21.jpgAlso, the besagues were made by Wild Armoury and attached to the arms. That whole kit is a bastard child The Bascinet is probably my favorite part of the whole thing. Maxim and I designed it as an early 15th century transitional bascinet with an English flavor. It's got elements of a bascinet, armet, and maybe even a little sallet in there. Although the thing was original kind of a "Historically Plausible" invention of mine, I've since seen a lot of period art portraying awfully similar helms. All the better. Here's a few pictures of it just after its production, minus the aventail.

The Bascinet is probably my favorite part of the whole thing. And with good cause: it's freakin' nice!

Thanks very much, gentlemen. I've been working on getting this harness together for a while. I'll take some better pictures whenever the thing wraps up.

Philip, that larger, grey puppy in your avatar pic, it's too small to be sure (the pic is, I mean), but is that a Keeshond? Or a keeshond mix?

Poor puppies... Except for the red on their legs, the dark one and the grey one could both be easily mistaken for Kees in little pics. The markings in their faces are about right...

I have a few things still on the way, but as soon as I get it (and find someone to snap some pics), I'll post some of my Indo-Persian stuff...

I am still working on my 14th century kit. I should have it done and be able to post pictures in 3 weeks. I am making most of it myself....hopefully it is not too dented after Gulf Wars.
