I swear these video game designers don't know s**t about the weapons they give their characters, that sword is the biggest piece of wank. Not the piece made by Matt just the idea of the sword itself. I get that people are fans of it and with a few adjustments I think it would be great but as is? Nah, Although I have always wanted a sword with a winged crosspiece.

It makes me sometimes re-consider wanting one. But alas, my obsessed, fanboy-ism doesn't allow that.

Well, from a distance that one sure looks real nice. I'm kinda surprised there aren't better replicas of this sword out there, since it seems to be a very popular thing among fans, but i suppose most of the people wanting it are more into video games than swords and so are happy with the SLO versions.

I agree. It is good for that distance. I am hoping to one day, attain a custom replica that looks exactly like it. ;D

Awesome, thanks, I've had some fun with this today. It looks 100 times better than my first version did. I love the blades you designed, and I think I prefer your guard as well, although I can't quite figure out how it would be in 3D. I could actually send you the vector file if you feel like playing around with what I've done already. I really like your updated design. You have a good eye. The hardest part, I thought, about making it functional. was reducing the weight of the blade. It's real "slabby", with no fuller. Kind of tip heavy. The cross guard came out lighter than I expected. There was room for more weight reduction on it, but I opted out, as I need all the weight I could get behind the riccaso. Certainly a challenge to make it functional and accurate. Someone with better design experience could pull it off.

AHAHAHAHAHAH! And that bristol is hawt. And it actually somewhat invokes the general look and shape of the master sword I think. Hm... sword customization project, anyone?

oooohhh, thats one ugly mofo of a sword IMO. Why would you be wanting to wave that around? Well...maybe it blends in better if you wear a green leprechaun robe. that is the best sword in the universe! YOU SHALL BE SLAIN FOR THOSE WORDS!

alright so some people wanted to see me in a link hat with a sword but I didnt have a link hat but then my girlfriend being the most amazing girl on earth got me a link hat for christmas That is a sweet hat, and I think you actually look pretty cool with your long hair and what not. I like that it's not a super bright cartoony green but darker. I was thinking about the sword in general and I think I like the fuller idea of Seth's. Cool sword designs all around too, good job everybody that made one. Here's a thread with a saber that has a wide fuller, and something like it would help the master sword's balance. /index.cgi?board=euromedieval&action=display&thread=14104

In other news, the master sword is pretty awesome.
