Wow, I really can't believe you made those designs in ms paint Reisz! Those designs are way cool. I never even had a passing thought of wanting a master sword, because I thought it would look too cheesy. But with Berethorn and Reisz's designs, it actually looks really awesome.
Although the version with the diamond cross-section would be great for thrusting or whatever, I don't really remember Link stabbing too much, mostly just slashing with the master sword. But then again the diamond cross section is dang sweet, so f- that.

I'm still partial to the hexagonal pattern, though both are pretty sweet. Link does prefer slashing, and so do I.

I like it, but it has a few errors I dislike. Best on so far though.

The blade looks alright but I dislike the grip thoroughly and link stabbed it was one of his most effective techniques aside from when he jumps in the air and slashes downward with both hands (thus why it is clearly a hand and a half) and in super smash bros/soul calibur II he jumps in the air and stabs downward ...Im a little obsess i know..

no u are right, he does stab. in SMB he does one attack where its just a rediculous flurry of stabbing blurr. I want the Biggoron sword. THAT sword pwns. when i was 8 i made a replica of the biggoron sword out of wood. i still got it. there is some chips and splinters out of the blade from me wackin semprini tho. ill see if i can get some pics of it up if anyone wants to see it.

That last one looked chintzy...I know Link is pretty gaudy but I still would've opted for a more muted color scheme...but that's just me.
I kinda want Yamato, now.

I actually have a design I did on pencil. I will post it when my fatigue disintegrates.

He could have also just had one hand on the pommel... But I have not played that game in such a long time. It is more than a one hander, but it never made sense why he had a sword with such a long handle when he used it single handed. ;D

Reizs (Don't know how to spell it): I just realized my design is very similar to yours, in a way. Sorry for that, it was not intended plagiarism.

Resurrecting this thread for having found a Master Sword replica that's supposed to be functional. No idea who makes it or how well made it is, it looks like it would be on the heavy side of things, especially for a one-hander. Certainly the best production Master Sword I've seen so far though.

I saw that a while back. Looks kinda pricey, and it kind of worries me that it has options for being balanced, forged, etc...

It worries me too. All the others I've seen have looked completely like toys though, this at least seams to be "real" but it remains to be seen if it's any good though. Someone should buy it and review it. But not me, I'm not risking my own money on something that looks that iffy.

I have made a few for stage combat. I still have the designs saved. Mine were made to look good at 10 feet away on stage and perform!
