That's an interesting blade, Jim. I'm going to have to spend some time on that site. If you ain't careful, you might spend a LOT more than time there. I see what you mean, a bit pricey, eh?

RicWilly, is there any chance that you will be acquiring the Valiant Armory Actium? If you do, please post a review.

It's a good looking sword, Jonathan. However, I have no plans in the near future to purchase one. The economies reach is wide. Of course, one never knows what might happen down the road.

Nice collection of Gladi.I just started looking at shorter bladed swords in the last few months. The gladius is one i am gaining an interest in, short, wide bladed and fast. After watching a couple of history channel show's about roman fighting styles a sword that short hidden behind a large shield, you just dont know where it's coming from.Thinking about it you gotta respect a sword type that lasted, what 4 or 500 years on the battlefield. Have you checked out the guy from scorpion's Gladius,I like his weapons and his gladius looks fierce.

Buliwyf, scorpion's gladius doesn't do it for me. I like his Lakonian tho.

Hey Ric... I'm starting to see why you love the KC Gladus so much... I have not cut with mine yet... but I've been dry handling it, and it's really growing on me. The grip is surprisingly comfy... the weight is awesome... I cut some paper with it and its paper cutting sharp, as good as almost any katana I ever had. If mine turns out as durable as yours, its a damn fine peice.

Mine's got a special place in my heart, Sean. While it's not the cutter some of my other swords are it is the sword I was using the first time I left a bottle bottom undisturbed.

If it cuts well, thats a plus, but really, its a stabbing/thrusting sword. It's a pretty nice one tho. Are these DH? I think I can see the faintest hint of hamon on mine... I know KC DH's their Celtic swords and some other stuff you wouldn't think would be DH.
