Got the Windlass/Royal Armories 14th century arming sword. It's pretty nice.
Didn't like the etchings so sanded them off from one side. Took longer than I thought. Probably will remove from other side too when I have inspiration.
I like this. Are they actually etchings into the blade or is it some kind of stamp or anodizing?

They are etched and need some work to remove. I used 400 grit wet paper and then scotch brite which matches the finish on the sword.

Got myself LK Chen's Chang Dao last week and... geez, it's big. Easily the biggest sword I've ever had... and I like it! The thing comes just short of my nose. Also, a quick side by side comparison with the LK Chen Miao Dao. (Ignore the troll behind them)
