I can run the coffee pot and the air fryer, but nothing else. And I'm not confident about the coffee pot. My circuitry is up to code, so I have the required amount of amps available. Because of the power draw of the air fryer I tend to use it only to make hotdogs or chicken nuggets for lunch and not for making anything for dinner. In that regard, it's not much use as a kitchen appliance for cooking actual meals.

My mother uses hers at every opportunity. To me it's basically a better microwave, sometimes. Sometimes it's a really lousy microwave...

Eh, high heat is only important if you want to sear. If your oven isn't hot enough you can get torches. I bought a cheapy at a local grocer that did wonders filling the corn out where the grill flame wasn't high enough. Otherwise, low heat, cover. It'll keep its juices better that way. I didn't start grilling until a couple years ago and I'm 37. I have no idea what I'm doing, but I'm figuring it out as I go. Luckily I have gas grills, because charcoal would probably be beyond me... Ah, the never ending debate. Gas or charcoal. Me, I prefer charcoal with mesquite or hickory wood chips. Of course, I would love to learn to actually smoke foods. WINNER...charcoal, for taste of course.

Definitely gonna vote charcoal as well. Never used one in mah loife, but I've always wanted to. I've had smoked meat a bunch, and I love the stuff.
My brother has an air fryer. That's all I know about those. I like to eat like I declare war on my heart, and fry stuff in oil, tho

Speaking of other interests, in regards to cooking, I just made my own pizza. Been learning to make my own dough, I always made my own sauce, and added some good quality ham, the kind that has a bone in it, Italian sausage and ground beef with taco seasoning.
I like a thick crispy crust if I'm gonna add a lot of toppings. The way my people make pizza would make Italians sad, but if you don't think of it as pizza when going into it, it's amazing

My idea of 'homemade' pizza is throwing some sauce, pepperoni, and mounds of cheese on a piece of flatbread and tossing it in the oven.

Not too far off from what i do, except I coat the pan in oil haha. I think I got the pizza dough recipe from some YouTuber, but I let it rise in the sheet, then add ingredients and let it rise more. I like thick breading, crispy on outside, soft on inside

The only way I like a thick crust is if I have a bowl of sauce to dip it in....and wine....much sweet red wine. ..........McM

I guess that's the little bit of Rennaisance man coming out in me....otherwise, just give me a bowl of meat with broth and a hunk of day-old bread .....and a cask of mead. Damn, I love mead. I'm gonna try to make my own some day. It's hard to find around my area. My wife brought me a bottle back the last time she went to Georgia to visit the kids. She said the liquor store she got it from is like the Walmart Super Center of booze. My kinda place. ---- --------McM

I lack a pizza stone and a fire stove, so I only make what I know I can do a decent job of. DETROIT STYLE ALL THE WAY! 😎

For pizza to be like BAD bad you would almost literally have to cut out a triangular piece of cardboard, draw a couple pepperoni slices on it and call it pizza, and even that might not be too bad.
