If I have to go out and about, I'm CCW'ing an HK VP9 with two extra 15 rns mags and I put a GI M1 carbine with three extra 15 rnd mags and a level IIIa BALCS vest in the lock box of an ex FBI Crown Vic with ballistic panels in the front doors... just in case the batcrap crazies' want to make some stupid choices when I am around.

Sig P365 with 12rnd. mag. in a Desantis mini scabbard leather holster is a fine all the time gun I currently carry. Might carry VP40 if out in car for extended periods for potential barrier penetration using Federal 180 grain pills.

I have a scuba tank in the trunk so I can dive into the offshore canyon to recover all the guns that fell off boats last summer. That's my plan.

My CCW loadout? Staying the F- home. I voted weeks ago. If by chance, "some people do something" while you are out minding your own business, one should be prepared.

Car loadout is limited to cold weather survival gear(thermal blankets, tea lights, firstaid kit), 1 light fishing rod with tacklebox, hatchet, camp chopper, twine, ropes, 1 xl tarp, box o xxl garbage bags, duct tape, shovel n traction grips for the tires, trail mix, raisens, dried dates and dried salmon. (Standard sociopaths outdoor project toolkit).
Im much more geared towards surviving a winter disasterous situation than worrying about the collapse of Cannuck society and its members forgetting to be polite...

"If" I lived in a cold weather location, A large warm dog would definitely be part of my cold weather survival kit.

The temps just started dropping here in Northern Illinois (6" of snow this time last year). Minus the rod and tacklebox, everything else could be right at home in the back of my H3 for winter prepping. Don't forget the importance of a decent pocket knife for daily carry. I'm always amazed at how few people carry a pocket knife on them anymore (or even in the car). I have a multi tool in every one of our vehicles and they usually come in handy for someone else who needs a screwdriver or pliers when we are out and about.

Oh, please don't get me started about pocket knives. A real man always has one on him at all times. We can discuss, at length and over some beer and campfire, which knife to carry, but a man should always have one on his person.

No real cold weather gear needed in Florida. Still, a lighter or box of matches is a must.
In the Jeep, I also like to keep at all times a good flashlight, knife, machete/long chopper knife, tow chain, spool of para-cord, mosquito repellant, Benadryl, ibuprofen, hydrocortisone, Neosporin, basic bandages, vinyl electrical tape, Pop Tarts (I know, I know), a couple of trash bags, a towel, and a basic automotive tool set. It all fits neatly in the various storage bins.
If I'm heading off the beaten path, I add a tarp, traction boards, hand shovel, hand axe, a decent jack, a come-along, basic hygiene stuff, a roll of paper towels, and bottles of water.
In an evacuation, I would add cans of fuel, cash, pillows, and blankets.

Tough part is deciding which knife because so many different knives for different jobs, and many people rock two or three different knives at one time.

I've got an air freshener, some tools in the trunk, a pack of gum, and a stuffed duck on the dashboard.
I'm f**king ready, baby.

Since it's currently deer season in Texas, I have been known to cart around a Remington 700 (.270 Win) on occasion.

If there's anything I learned from this summer, it's that you do not want to find yourself in a position where you have to shoot someone to make it home, because your problems will have only just begun. So my loadout is a TV remote and a cold drink.
And my Condor Yoshimi, for some overdue cutting practice.

Heh. A Glock 19 Gen 4 with extra 15 rnd mag in a horizontal leather scabbard pouch that looks like a flashlight holder and a little Benchmade 531 edc knife.
