The 7 pounds number is from the discussion on earlier pages for that particular sword owned by "Deleted User", "5mm thick" all around, no tapering and 7 pounds was mentioned.

Dec 1, 2019 13:13:34 GMT -6 @deleted said: And I see someone was asking about the sword's weight. It weighs 7.4 lbs. But I also do have to say, it wields pretty well for it's weight. It wields like a great sword, which is essentially what it is. Except this is way overbuilt for power and durability. In terms of comparison in swords, most swords power (force) in a strike are like in between a wolf and a tiger. This is like a 18ft great white shark at full speed. sbg-sword-forum.forums.net/thread/59333/removed-700-trade-longsword-scabbard?page=2

Just quote the post. This isn't rocket science. The ebay sword may have some added weight but not twice what a plain version would weigh. Perhaps you are simply not remembering the stats and seeing the 7mm as 7 pounds. Don't leave it to me to contact the seller but I will reiterate that the sword pictured and the maker doesn't add up to a seven pound XVIIIb. The user deleted his SBG account and the EBay auction is long gone but here is the post I made about the 7lb sword in question with a cut/paste of the sellers description from the ebay auction; LMOA...You just can't make this stuff up..here the link:
www.ebay.com/itm/700-Shipped-Fully-Forged-Longsword-w-Scabbard-by-Jeremy-Eichelberger/392593771547?hash=item5b68698c1b:g:CaUAAOSwm11d98qV
Here is the text.. highlighted portions for fun...note the listed buy it now price is $500
($700 Shipped) Fully Forged Longsword w/Scabbard by Jeremy Eichelberger
Condition is New, but second hand now. Price is 700$ shipped.
This is a longsword made by a Oak Mountain Armory (Jeremy Eichelberger). The blade is made out of forged 1075 high carbon steel, with the guard and pommel being made out of forged mild steel. It has about a 38.5 inch blade (appox. 2.2" wide at it's base), a guard that is 10" wide approx., with the total length being about 54" overall. It does have a few blemishes on it most of which can be polished out or fixed pretty easily. The grip is covered in nickel wire wrap with even the ring in the middle of the grip being forged mild steel. The grip also has an oval shape with a max of about 1.2" in width. The pommel is more of a fishtail style pommel, and of course the tang is peened with a peen block. The blade has a thickness of 5mm with no taper to give it an extreme power in a strike. Comes with a plain white scabbard (the outside is a little dirty, but you can easily just lightly sand it and paint over it). But, everything is solid. The sword was made last summer but has never been used, not even once. It has been well taken care of and frequently cleaned. And the sword came with the flaws (I know it's weird). Comes with a sword frog. It’s worth about $1400 as it sits. No returns. I use paypal if you are interested in buying, message me if your interested.

Is this the infamous no distal taper 7.5 lb sword? The description says "slight variation in the handle material, and weight displacement" from Jeremy's normal product. On one hand, I respect that Jeremy apparently built something to the customer's exact spec, but on the other, I wouldn't want such a product with my name to go out into the world. I think this guy would be better off sending the sword off for a blade re-profile.

Notice the seller has, in my opinion, dishonestly omitted the weight of the sword or any details of how the sword differs from Jeremy's normal product.
