I forgot, watched a short 40 min show called Sturgill Simpsons Sound and Fury,on Netflix.Music was ok,and the visual was interesting.Basically it is some songs with clips based on post apocalyptic fantasy.Anime has never really been my thing, half was animated in that style, and this show did not change my mind but I sat through it as a time filler before a movie (that I did not finish as I crashed out).First clip had a Pink Floyd feel, group dance was just weird, skateboard just didn't work as the place was too clean for an after war city, slave town was ok.Some guys here may like it a lot.

Movie called Izzat from 2005,not the Indian movies. About a young Pakistani guy living in Oslo, that gets involved in a criminal group.Pretty good viewing, some violence but not riddled with it.

Just watched a documentary about Glam Rock. Interesting how modern artists like Marilyn Manson or Lady Gaga use this iconic stuff too. I like the simple rock'n roll songs better than the rather ambitious music.

Just watched the last "Human Centipede" Saw the first one. "FEED HER"! The first two movies are disgustingly revolting, the third one is disgustingly funny.

Damn snowbite, I usually agree wit you on a lot of stuff but this isn’t one. This movie just bored me, so much I didn’t even finish it. Just didn’t seem any point to it. Truth be told, it seems a lot of movies bore me these days. Maybe I’m just to old and jaded to enjoy them much anymore. But that’s the great thing, there’s plenty out there to please most everyone’s different tastes. Btw no offense meant

ain't no accountin' for taste, Paul! Actually, I heard the complaints about it before I watched it, so my expectations were low. Given they made it with a $30K budget, I was impressed. Better than most of the bazillion dollar blockbusters lately. That said, I don't plan to buy it. Well worth a one dollar rental though 😎

Just watched John Wick 3. First movie I have seen in a looong time.
Massive “body count,” ultra violent, waaaay over the top, super unrealistic, very little discernible social/political propaganda, just barely enough plot to get things moving, and took itself far too seriously.
Visually interesting with fun-to-watch fighting. Just like action movies used to be!
I must say I enjoyed it quite a lot. 🙂

Should have been John Wick 3 Kung Fuey Chop Suey. Did like the weapon museum scene.

Currently in the middle of Outlaw King. I'm actually really enjoying it, it's nice to see a (mostly, haha) high level of historical accuracy in a film set in the medieval era. Pacing's a little disjointed, dialog is pretty standard - it's no film masterpiece, but I'm definitely having a good time watching it.

Overall it was merely a good solid film, but the opening scene around the siege of Stirling was a-maz-ing (I'm trying to find a clip of it)

Can't find it, but the 8-minute uninterrupted scene culminates with the awesome trebuchet shot

Agreed! That was definitely one of the best scenes from the movie.

So I just finished the first (and so far, only) season of Vinland Saga on Amazon Prime. I’m only mildly conversant in anime, but I enjoyed this “seinen historical epic” more than I expected to. Also enjoyed the Witcher series on Netflix. Can’t wait for season 2. Ditto on The Mandalorian, of course. Currently working my way through: The Lone Wolf and Cub 6-film Criterion set. I loved Shogun Assassin, so it’s time to see the full originals Vikings season 6 on The History Channel Rurouni Kenshin (anime). This is on both Netflix and Hulu, but only Hulu has all three seasons. Castle Rock season 2 on Hulu And last but not least, and with zero apologies... The Master TV series— a Christmas gift to myself that never fails to clear the room when I pop it into the blu-ray player 😎

Finished knives out and I think the direction is great, the performances are wonderful, and the pace is mostly good and the movie is a completely enjoyable, highly recommended.
