Going way back to the fifties. Watched every episode of Perry Mason up till season 5 episode 28. There were about 40 episodes per year so a big investment of time. Fortunately I use most tv as background so I can do other things while watching. I don't seem to have a problem following the story while on the computer, reading or a hobby project.

Watched an old Zatoichi movie last night, pretty cool. Then happened across a youtube vid, with some obscure titling after searching for samurai movies. The name was Tatara Samurai. Young guy is learning to take over from his father to become Murage, master of the steel making in his village.Has some fighting and stuff but plenty of interesting scenes of the tatara steel making process as well.A pretty decent show.

With the start of the Munich Oktoberfest yesterday there are many documentaries in tv about the work behind the party, the catering for millions of people etc. Every year ca. 120-130 roasted oxen (whole oxen!), 20-30 calves, 0,5 mio. chickens, 80000 roasted pork knuckles, millions of dumplings... I'm getting hungry!

Ok this is off topic but not too bad. I’m still on my game of thrones “definitive” watching but I’m getting back into reading fiction books. I had read every single fantasy novel that interested me that my underfunded local libraries had, so I had taken a break from the library. Well, now I’m on a serious sci fi kick and it so happens that my library system has a substantial sci fi selection! So I’m reading Dan Simmons Hyperion and Endymion series now. Man, The Shrike is freakin terrifying! Easily the scariest sci fi or fantasy monster I’ve encountered in a long time.

Been watching It's Always Sunny In Philidalphia. Not exactly the sort of show that one even needs to follow. But it's funny

I have taken a bit of a liking to old Zatoichi movies and have watched two over this last week. Also caught Ong Bak II on free to air and the martial arts was outstanding,Tony Jaa would have to be the best all rounder ever. Also been watching series two of Disenchantment for a bit of lighthearted escapism.

Also been watching series two of Disenchantment for a bit of lighthearted escapism. Does it get any better than the somewhat uninspired season one? I've been hoping so, because I really want to like it more than I do...

Just watched a classic from 1976.Attack on Precinct 13.Poor acting, terrible script complete with corny quips from the "tough guy prisoner",but still a ripper of a movie.

I watched Formula 1 since the times of Nikki Lauda but much less in the last few years. Too many complicated rules together with all that technical stuff.

Another Life with Katee Sackhoff on Netflix, well enough made, acting is good though the plot judder and jump around in timeline, where on one scene two characters hate each other and next they walk together and chat like if everything was fixed off screen.
Plot and episodes have their highs and lows, and you have to put your credulity setting to 'low' sometimes, but overwall good enough to watch the whole series, if you are a fan of Sci-Fi 'space exploration' type series/movies.

"Elimination Zone", tsssh!, formery that was the other name of the Nürburgring. I am sad to say that both Hockenheim _and_Nürburgring have been cut from the schedule I will have to explore feeds to enjoy other series there, such as DTM. I'm really pissed off. The kid has done it again The old men are on row 1 and 2 but who gets to turn 1 first is yet to be determined. A couple of hundreths makes all the difference these days. F1 has seen a lot of changes over the decades. Despite the restrictive nature of the changes, the cars and drivers are going faster than ever. Formula E is growing, slowly. Cheers GC
