Whoa, its hard to see you guys cry over 40 USD shipping on one of those mystery swords... ;-) Take a look at THIS - funny, heh? It costs me 80$ just to import a sword from another country, if buying from a vendor. Not to mention shipping. People from the USA don't know what they got Oh yes we do.

As if paying only 2/3rds of the price isn't a sweet enough deal 😂 low shipping that arrives in two or three days? Makes me wanna burn this country down (Harold and Kumar reference for anyone who didn't catch that, it's not a statement of anarchy)

I'm lucky enough to live near Montreal, so I can go straight to DSA at the least. Ordered a Windlass hewing spear from RELIKS in Ontario, shipping was quite reasonable. RELIKS got good enough prices on some brands, may end cheaper than ordering from Museum Replicas for example after taxes and duties.

Just a heads up - DSA just reduced the prices to these 4 models to $110 usd for a "last clear out liquidation". I'll probably pass... But curious if anyone has tried them out yet? I just ran across this older thread. I did end up getting a two-handed Viking knock off from them. I only wanted it for the blade, for a project. I must say, the blade is fantastic. Just as good as any windlass for sure. It was so good, I actually recently bought another one; the last two-handed Viking they had laying around. Got the 2nd one for $50, plus the $40 shipping. So $90 for a fantastic blade?! Yes! The guard and pommel are simple cast pewter, so those are a joke. But I only needed it for the blade, so that was fine, and I knew that going in. And I will honestly say, it is much nicer than the Balaur I just bought and dismantled. The Balaur is way too thin at the tang with super sloppy fittings. I still need to post a short review about that.... But yeah, DSA replica was well worth it.

@lionhardt - nice! Can't beat that for $90 lol. I'm curious, what did you use that blade for...?

@lionhardt - nice! Can't beat that for $90 lol. I'm curious, what did you use that blade for...? Sorry, just saw your question. I am building up an Excalibur from the Arthur movie a few years ago. That sword is amazing. Basically a bastard sword, so the double handed Viking blade is perfect. I won't be doing it for a while yet; too many projects being worked on, and spending every other month in Texas for work.... But eventually. I have a blade coming from Albion that I am turning into a Ranger, so that takes priority : ) then this...
