The leather work on the belt of the knight scabbard really blows me away! That is visually impressive and the artistry is really great. I can hardly wait to see how the next few turn out. How ya gonna top THAT!? ;D

Brian, that is amazing. Who makes that sword? Looks a lot like the Jody Samson sword that was in the myArmoury Marketplace. I was drooling over it for a while. It was down to $700.00 and apparently didn't sell. www.myarmoury.com/talk/viewtopic.php?t=14052&highlight=jody+samsonEdit - And one fantastically beautiful scabbard Brian !! I don't believe that I've ever seen anything like it - very unique. Can you tell us with the runes say translated into English ?

Thank you guys. It is a Jody Samson Leafblade. A protoype none-the-less!
The runes were provided by the customer, and with no intention on my behalf to be critical or to be misunderstood by anyone I was told it was more for visual than meaning.

The runes appear to be, mostly, Elder Futhark. But there are some runes that I simply dont recognize...Although, I'm fairly new to the runes so that could be why. I've done a few searches and I cant find anything though.
It's very stunning work, Brian. The runes do give it a very special effect.

This is getting to be repetitive... ;D ... But WOW! That's a visually unique and very attractive scabbard. Another great piece of work!

Amazing work on that scabbard, I like the runes you added.
I've run into the same problem as Kidcasinova, some of the runes I have not seen in Elder Futhark, and I've been rune casting for many years. Some examples are the one that looks like a K and the on like an H, but has 2 diagonal lines in the middle.

Niiiiiice +1! Love the colour. What sword is that? St. George Armoury Arming Sword Though I can't find an exact picture of it on the website. It's where the customer said he purchased it from. www.stgeorgearmouryshop.co.uk/901.html

Wow! Incredible leatherwork Brian! I did leatherwork for hire years back, and I can vouch for the time-consuming effort (let alone the artistry) that went into these scabbards - and they are worth every penny. Because it is so time (and personal resource) intensive, I only do it for myself these days (and a few nagging friends). When you hold something in your hands that has had that kind of attention put to it - you can feel it.
Again - nice work Brian (I'm a little jealous).
*** Oh - and the runes in question are from a later period, but Viking none the less. They are counterparts for Cen and Haegl - although when they reduced the size to 16 characters, some of the meanings got shared and bled into each other (and there are quite a few other variations and meanings depending upon region). I also prefer the Elder Futhark.
